TOPIC: ASK THE LORD WHEN THE PHILISTINES SHOW UP – 2
BASIC SCRIPTURE: 2 SAMUEL 5:19-25
Welcome! In today’s devotional, THE HOLY GHOST is taking you to the WAR STRATEGY ROOM of Jehovah God! Vs. 23 says: “And when David enquired of the LORD, He said, ‘Thou shalt not go up; but fetch a compass behind them, and come upon them over against the mulberry trees.” Did you get that? When the Philistines first came up, the Lord told David in (yesterday’s devotional): “Go up: for I will doubtless deliver the Philistines into thine hand.” He told him (paraphrased): “GO UP QUICKLY! ATTACK THEM! DON’T SPARE THEM! YOU WILL DESTROY THEM!” But in Vs. 23, when the Philistines attacked again (they would always do à counter attack), the LORD told DAVID: “Thou shall not go up.” THAT IS WHY IT IS IMPORTANT TO HEAR FROM GOD! He has different strategies for different seasons of the same battle! As 2022 ends, never be tired of asking the Lord, “Should I go up or should I not go up?” Ask questions for every action you take as the year ends. Ask! Ask!! And ask!!! “Should I wear this dress?” I decree that you will not miss the seasonal strategy/leading from the LORD as 2022 ends! Amen and amen! Pray seriously now! (Give out ODM COPIES as led).
