For over 2 years, they were kept in solitary confinement in a 22 by 4 metres cell, were led blindfolded many times into their cell room. Finally, after more than 2 years in confinement, they were set free after a million dollar bail bond was brokered by the Oman diplomatic authorities.
Freedom came after more than 2 long years. For those 2 years of confinement, they were allowed only a total of 15-minute phone calls to their families! This world is a battleground! We battle financial challenges, unemployment, delayed childlessness, sickness, delayed marriages, demonic oppression, family challenges/divorces and as many things as we can think about.
The Americans had severed diplomatic relations with Iran three decades ago; that was before these people were even born. So, they were cut in the crossfire of a battle they didn’t start. This shows that sometimes, we become victims of battles we know nothing about. These are inherited battles. However, there is good news: Battles don’t last forever; they all have expiry dates.
