Welcome to today’s devotional hour with Romans 9: 13 – “As it is written, Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated.”
Then Hebrews 12:6-8 says – “For whom the Lord loveth He chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom He receiveth. If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not?
But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons.” So, the difference between ESAU and JACOB was that because God loved JABOB, HE PASSED HIM THROUGH CHALLENGES THAT WOULD BREAK HIM, WOUND HIM AND MOULD HIM INTO THE PERSON HE WAS CREATED TO BE(ISRAEL)!
Note that ESAU was NEVER disciplined by God. He left him to live his life as he liked it. He began as ESAU and ended up as ESAU! He was prosperous and seemed peaceful with fewer battles than JACOB.
But Jacob began as Jacob and ended up as Israel! That is because: “For whom the Lord loveth He chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom He receiveth.” Ah! That means some battles you are facing is because GOD LOVES YOU and wants you to become who He created you to be – A PRINCE OF POWER (ISRAEL).
If God does not allow some battles into your life or ministry, then you are not in His TRAINING SCHOOL and YOU ARE NOT IN HIS list of THE FAVOURED ONES!
Therefore in any trial or battle always remember that YOU ARE NOT AN ESAU! YOU ARE SPECIAL and GOD IS GOING TO CHANGE YOUR NAME AND GLORY as He did to Jacob. Hold on and hold out! BE A FOOD BANK PARTNER – SEE PAGE 29.

Thank you LORD for Your cleansing process through trials. I receive Your AMAZING GRACE! Lord, accomplish all Your purposes for my destiny in Jesus name.

I declare: This is my season of rising. I move from the phase of scars (JACOB) to that of a star (ISRAEL) now in Jesus name. Lord, shake me and take away what You have not planted (Pray it seriously).
