BASIC SCRIPTURE 2 KINGS 3: 1-12
TOPIC: POUR WATER ON A HAND!
Vs. 11 of today’s scripture says: “But Jehoshaphat said, ‘Is there not here a prophet of the LORD, that we may enquire of the LORD by him? And one of the king of lsrael’s servants answered and said, “Here is Elisha the son of Shaphat, which poured water on the hands of Elisha.” Wow!
With all the DOUBLE MIRACLES OF ELISHA (Elisha was used to perform DOUBLE the number of miracles that ElLIJAH was used to manifest), his popular summary was a man who POURED WATER IN THE HANDS OFF HIS MASTER! He was not described as the, “DOUBLE PORTION MIRACLE WORKER.” He was simply described as HE THAT POURED WATER IN THE HANDS OF ELIJAH. What the Holy Ghost wants you to know is that CHARACTER (LOVE, forgiveness, helping others, and patience), etc, is greater than CHARISMA (your gifts).
In those days, during supper a servant presented a basin of water, and a napkin hung over his/her shoulders; he/she went to everyone at the table and poured water on their hands to wash! WHAT WILL YOU BE REMEMBERED FOR IN YOUR COMMUNITY WHEN YOU ARE GONE? Will they remember you as that kind man or woman or that unforgiving and bitter soul? Will they remember you as that smiling, caring, Wise comforter or as an envious troublemaker?
Hear Martin Luther King. Jr: “Life’s most persistent and urgent question is, What are you doing for others? Theodore Roosevelt opined: Nobody cares how much you know until they know how much you care.” Then Booker T. Washington penned: “The happiest people are those who do the most for others. The most miserable are those who do the least. Wow!

3. Lord, grant me the GRACE to WATER OTHER LIVES today!
