TOPIC: THE LADY AND THE CULTIST: YOU WILL NEVER WALK ALONE!
BASIC SCRIPTURE: EXODUS 33: 9-17
9 And it came to pass, as Moses entered into the tabernacle, the cloudy pillar descended, and stood at the door of the tabernacle, and the Lord talked with Moses.
10 And all the people saw the cloudy pillar stand at the tabernacle door: and all the people rose up and worshipped, every man in his tent door.
11 And the Lord spake unto Moses face to face, as a man speaketh unto his friend. And he turned again into the camp: but his servant Joshua, the son of Nun, a young man, departed not out of the tabernacle.
12 And Moses said unto the Lord, See, thou sayest unto me, Bring up this people: and thou hast not let me know whom thou wilt send with me. Yet thou hast said, I know thee by name, and thou hast also found grace in my sight.
13 Now therefore, I pray thee, if I have found grace in thy sight, shew me now thy way, that I may know thee, that I may find grace in thy sight: and consider that this nation is thy people.
14 And he said, My presence shall go with thee, and I will give thee rest.
15 And he said unto him, If thy presence go not with me, carry us not up hence.
16 For wherein shall it be known here that I and thy people have found grace in thy sight? is it not in that thou goest with us? so shall we be separated, I and thy people, from all the people that are upon the face of the earth.
17 And the Lord said unto Moses, I will do this thing also that thou hast spoken: for thou hast found grace in my sight, and I know thee by name.

Our Daily Manna Devotional for 29 July 2021
There is the story of a Christian sister on campus who was being bothered by a cult member. He wanted her to become his girlfriend but the sister refused. One day, the boy planned to cross her pathway at night and probably rape her. She finished fellowship that night and was walking to her hostel, ALONE. The boy met her but was paralysed! What he saw filled him with so much fear that he couldn’t even say hello to her. The following day, the boy approached the girl and asked her, “Who are those hefty guys that were with you last night…” The sister was shocked!“There was no one with me” she replied. The guy did not believe her. That was the last time he bothered the sister. THAT NONSENSE STOPPED – because of HIS PRESENCE! Always remember, no matter the HEAT OF THE FURNACE, you are never alone. The Almighty God is with you to defend you and fight for you, ALWAYS. The saying goes that one with God is a majority. Moses was one man that understood the greatness of God. He understood that with God on his side, he had nothing to fear. The first time God called Moses, He assured him, “Certainly I will be with you… Later on, He told him, “I will be with your mouth, and teach you what you should say.” In this 2nd quarter of 2021, I want you to be assured of this everlasting truth: the same God who promised to always be with Moses has promised to be with you, He is the mighty God who fought for His people when Pharaoh threatened them at the Red Sea. They could not move forward, they could not move backwards: STAGNATED! The Lord who had assured them that He would be with them stepped into the scene and proved Himself mighty . That was the case of this lady in today’s devotional and that shall be your story! No wonder Moses told God “If Your presence will not go with us, do not take us from here…” Yes, as 2021 progresses, always remember that HE IS ALL THAT MATTERS – HE IS WITH YOU! 1 What a friend we have in Jesus,
all our sins and griefs to bear!
What a privilege to carry
everything to God in prayer!
O what peace we often forfeit,
O what needless pain we bear,
all because we do not carry
everything to God in prayer!
2 Have we trials and temptations?
Is there trouble anywhere?
We should never be discouraged;
take it to the Lord in prayer!
Can we find a friend so faithful
who will all our sorrows share?
Jesus knows our every weakness;
take it to the Lord in prayer!
3 Are we weak and heavy laden,
cumbered with a load of care?
Precious Savior, still our refuge–
take it to the Lord in prayer!
Do your friends despise, forsake you?
Take it to the Lord in prayer!
In his arms he’ll take and shield you;
you will find a solace there.
