TOPIC: A SETUP FOR A COMEBACK
BASIC SCRIPTURE: GENESIS 15: 13-21
13 And he said unto Abram, Know of a surety that thy seed shall be a stranger in a land that is not theirs, and shall serve them; and they shall afflict them four hundred years;
14 And also that nation, whom they shall serve, will I judge: and afterward shall they come out with great substance.
15 And thou shalt go to thy fathers in peace; thou shalt be buried in a good old age.
16 But in the fourth generation they shall come hither again: for the iniquity of the Amorites is not yet full.
17 And it came to pass, that, when the sun went down, and it was dark, behold a smoking furnace, and a burning lamp that passed between those pieces.
18 In the same day the Lord made a covenant with Abram, saying, Unto thy seed have I given this land, from the river of Egypt unto the great river, the river Euphrates:
19 The Kenites, and the Kenizzites, and the Kadmonites,
20 And the Hittites, and the Perizzites, and the Rephaims,
21 And the Amorites, and the Canaanites, and the Girgashites, and the Jebusites.

One of the most important keys to overcoming challenges in life is understanding that: Every setback is a setup for a comeback. Take note of what Joseph told his brothers: “You meant evil, but God turned it around for good…” Jesus taught His disciples, “unless a grain of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it abides alone.” You need to understand that every bitter experience of life can be used by God to bring forth valuable things in your life. Those ugly experiences that have threatened to rob you of your dreams and aspirations can be stepping stones into your place of prominence. That was the case for Joseph! The challenges and bitter experiences that he faced could have been stumbling blocks, but he saw them differently. He overcame the hurt and disappointments and went ahead to make a difference in the lives of people. He understood that God was on his side, and with God on his side, his latter days would be far better than his former days. He refused to allow the setbacks to set him back. He refused to allow those disappointments to limit him. His philosophy was clear: Losers Focus on What They’re Going Through, while Winners Focus On Where They’re Going To. He looked on the bright side of everything! Do the same! When he was in prison, he noticed that two prisoners who were always happy and excited were unusually sad one morning. He walked up to them to cheer them up and infected them with his joyful, hopeful spirit. They told Joseph their dreams and Joseph gave them the interpretation. Through those dream manifestations, a couple of years after that, Joseph was summoned to come and interpret the king’s dream, and that was the beginning of the fulfillment of his dreams. I decree: You shall INTERPRET THE DREAMS OF KINGS FROM THIS SEASON in Jesus name! Joseph was tougher than the tough times! And at last, he endured and triumphed. Remember this: Out Of Your Pain Comes Your Purpose! Yes! God has a plan! He is not Trying To Change Your Mountain, He Is Using Your Mountain To Change You! You will be greater and bigger! Hold on and hold out! (Give out at least 7 ODM copies/ Help other lives).
