TOPIC: MY PAST MADE ME!

 BASIC SCRIPTURE: ISAIAH 43:10-19

As we enter into the last quarter of 2019, you must determine to start to LOOK AHEAD, instead of LOOKING BEHIND! No matter how the year has been, always remember that your BEST DAYS ARE STILL AHEAD! Your God is a specialist in NEW THINGS! Numbers 16:30-31 (Amplified Bible) says:

“But if the Lord causes a new thing (to happen), and the earth opens its mouth and swallows them up, with all that belongs to them, and they go alive into Sheol (the place of the dead), then you shall understand that these men have provoked (spurned, despised) the Lord!”

So when the EARTH SWALLOWED UP the men who rebelled against Moses in Numbers 16:30, IT WAS A NEW THING THE LORD DID! It had NEVER happened before! As 2019 ends and 2020 begins, a thing that has NEVER BEEN DONE BEFORE, WILL BEGIN with you in Jesus name! Expect a NEW THING testimony! Isaiah 43:18-19 says: “Do not (earnestly) remember the former things; neither consider the things of old.

Behold, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs forth; do you not perceive and know it and will you not give heed to it? I will even make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.” Yes! A NEW THING! You cannot see the NEW till you forget you the old! “Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, today is a gift of God, which is why we call it the present” (Bill Keane). Then Chuck Palahniuk wrote: “You realize that our mistrust of the future makes it hard to give up the past.” Also, Cormac McCarthy opined: “Scars have the strange power to remind us that our past is real.” Yes! Your past is real, but your sweet FUTURE is MORE REAL! That is why you must determine to forget the SCARS of your past and look into the STARS of the future! Hear Rick Warren: “We are products of our past, but we don’t have to be prisoners of it.” So when Satan wants to remind you and cage you in the PRISON of your PAST, always reply him that YOUR PAST MADE YOU WHO YOU ARE NOW! Your past is your friend because it made you who you are! So, learn from it and MOVE ON! Pray now! odm october 1

ODM OCTOBER 1 PRAYER POINTS: Take Song 1: Higher ground…

1. Pray about today’s word as led now.
2. My past made me who I am today, so I am NOT ashamed of my past! Holy Ghost, use every delay, mistake or failure of my past to re-write my TOMORROW in Jesus name.
3. I scatter every arrow from the pit of hell that is sent to use my past to poison my future.
4. I return to sender, every ARROW OF SELF-PITY.
5. I return to sender, every ARROW OF INFERIORITY COMPLEX
6. Pray about the remaining days of 2019.
7. Loose WHATEVER is hanging in the spirit world which belongs to you.

I’m pressing on the upward way – odm october 1 Hymn

1. • I’m pressing on the upward way,
     New heights I’m gaining every day;
     Still praying as I onward bound,
     “Lord, plant my feet on higher ground.”
     Lord, lift me up, and let me stand
     By faith on Canaan’s tableland;
     A higher plane than I have found,
     Lord, plant my feet on higher ground.

2 – My heart has no desire to stay
Where doubts arise and fears dismay;
Though some may dwell where these abound,
My prayer, my aim, is higher ground.

3- I want to live above the world,
Though Satan’s darts at me are hurled;
For faith has caught the joyful sound,
The song of saints on higher ground.

4 – I want to scale the utmost height
And catch a gleam of glory bright;
But still I’ll pray till rest I’ve found,
“Lord, lead me on to higher ground.”
