TOPIC: THE CRACK! FLAWS TO FLOWERS!

BASIC SCRIPTURES: 2 CORINTHIANS 4: 3 – 9; ISAIAH 40:29

I love this ALLEGORY about two pots owned by an elderly Chinese woman! An ALLEGORY is a story in which the characters or symbols actually used are not real. Don’t forget the ALLEGORY about an elderly Chinese citizen who had two large pots;each hung on the ends of a pole which she carried across her neck to fetch water regularly. One of the pots had a crack in it while the other pot was perfect and always delivered a full portion of water. At the end of the long walks from the stream to the house, the cracked pot arrived only half full. For a full two years this went on daily, with the woman bringing home only one and half pots of water. Of course, the perfect pot was proud of its accomplishments. After two years of what it perceived to be bitter failure, it spoke to the woman one day by the stream: “I am ashamed of myself, because this crack in my side causes water to leak out all the way back to your house.”

The old woman smiled, “did you notice that there are flowers on your side of the path, but not on the other pot’s side?” “That’s because I have always known about your flaws, so I planted flower seeds on your side of the path, and every day while we walk back, you watered them. For two years I have been able to pick these beautiful flowers to decorate the table. Without you being just the way you are, there would not be this beauty to grace the house.”

Wow! What a school in today’s devotional! Sometimes, you feel like this pot with its crack – imperfect and ashamed! Yes! We have all passed that old road of, “I AM NOT QUALIFIED,” but never forget that the GOD you serve is a Specialist in turning FLAWS (your faults/errors) TO FLOWERS (testimonies)! There may have been some things in your life/ ministry that made you feel, “cracked” and flawed, but the Holy Ghost is sending me to remind you that: YOU ARE A TREASURE IN A TRASH (earthen) VESSEL ( Today’s 1st scripture Vs. 7)!

Our Daily Manna September 2018

God loved you even before you loved Him! He loved you even while you were His enemy – not Born Again! So if you are not living in DELIBERATE SINS, why condemn yourself? This God does not call the qualified! He qualifies the called; AND THIS TAKES A PROCESS! So,confess every sin, forsake them, hold on and hold out! NEVER condemn yourself but refuse to live in sin! Our Daily Manna For Champions 5th September 2018
