David had an adulterous affair! Solomon was so rich that he became backslidden! He was a known womanizer with hundreds of wives! Jesus was poor by His own will! Gideon and Thomas were doubters! Elijah was suicidal! Martha was a champion worrier! Noah got drunk! Jeremiah was too young! Abraham was too old! Peter was afraid of death! Lazarus was dead yet God used him to announce the glory and POWER OF GOD! When he was raised from the dead, he became a tourist attraction – today’s 1st scripture, vs. 9. Just look at Esther. She had several, big “limitations” that made her UNQUALIFIED for the role God wanted her to fulfill: She was an orphan adopted by Mordecai and from a forbidden tribe – a Jew. That was why Mordecai warned her to keep her mouth shut! But God used the secrets and WEAKNESSES they were hiding to announce her in the place of national/personal destiny! Hear this: Sometimes what looks like a disaster/FAILURE/ weakness/mistake in your life is part of a much bigger plan! Stop that depression! Philippians 2:13 says: “For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of His good pleasure.” Did you get that? It is God! It is God! It is God! It is NOT YOU!
