TODAY’S TOPIC: THE MISSIONARY AND THE 16 SOLDIERS! ROBBERY FOILED!

A story is told about how God miraculously delivered a medical missionary and his friend from a robbery attack. They went to the bank to collect some money that had been sent to them and before they could reach home, night had fallen. They prayed and decided to sleep on the lonely hillside that night and continue their journey the next morning. Some weeks later, a man came to the missionary’s hospital for treatment. He saw the missionary and kept on staring at him, ‘I’ve seen you before.’ The missionary was shocked, “I’ve never met you,” he said. “Yes, we have!” said the man. “You were sleeping on a hillside a few weeks ago.WE SAWYOUATTHE BANKAND FOLLOWED YOU. We wanted to rob you, BUT FOUND SOME SOLDIERS AROUND YOU! If not for the soldiers that were following you, we would have robbed you.” “Soldiers?” The missionary laughed. “There were no soldiers with us.” The man was adamant. “Yes, there were – we counted them. There were sixteen of them and they had swords.” The missionary could not believe it. He thought the man was hallucinating. A couple of months later, he went on holiday and was approached by a friend who asked, “What date was it when you camped on the hillside?” The missionary found the date in his diary and it happened to be the same date that this friend and some other friends were having a prayer meeting. During that prayer meeting, the name of this missionary came up for prayer. “THERE WERE SIXTEEN OF US INTHE MEETINGTHAT NIGHT”. Wow! When your enemies are scheming and devising ways to hurt you, remember that God is seeing them and He knows just what to do to keep out of their traps this year. Much more, He knows what to do to get them entrapped in their own wicked devices. REFUSE TO LEAVE THE REFUGE PLACE OF YOUR DEFENCE! Refuse to break the wall through sin, otherwise a serpent will bite you! Stay in trust and faith! You will be safe!
