Many of the easy things of life can be destructive. In the same way, many of the sweet things of life can be addictive and destructive. As a pharmacist, I know that people with too much sugar in their blood are more likely to develop memory problems than people with low levels of sugar! Also, high sugar intake has also been shown to increase the risk of heart disease, cancer (scientists have discovered that CANCER CELLS ARE IN LOVE WITH GLUCOSE – A VERY SWEET SUGAR). Do you know that Type 2 diabetes is a HIGH BLOOD SUGAR RELATED disease that can cause blindness, nerve damage and result in amputation of the fingers, toes or limbs? Today’s devotional is not just about the sugar that you put in your tea, but about the “SWEET”/DESTRUCTIVE lifestyle that the enemy has purposed to use to bring you down. BEWARE! Notice the words of Solomon in today’s scripture Vs. 17 – “Bread of deceit is sweet to a man; but afterwards his mouth shall be filled with gravel.” When Ananias and Sapphira ‘devised their deceitful lies’ was it not sweet to them? But how long did it last? As 2024 runs to an end, the Spirit of God is saying to you: BEWARE OF DECEIT! 1. Do not open yourself to deceit. Do not just take everything you hear at face value! Examine all things and hold fast to the truth (1 Thessalonians 5:21). 2. Do not propagate deceit. Do not pass on information that you have not confirmed to be true! Do not be a backbiter! Do not bear false witness! These are the “SWEET” BUT DESTRUCTIVE things that the enemy has used to destroy many and reduced them to zero. 3. DO NOT LIVE IN DECEIT! Anything that does not match up to the standard of the truth of God’s Word is an open door to demonic oppression. BEWARE because as the saying goes – SIN DECEIVES, AND THEN DESTROYS! Give out the 2025 ODM as gifts! GET YOUR ODM SOFT COPY!
