Many a times we read and hear of great personalities that have made a difference in their generation. We often see them as larger than life portraits or as supermen. We read of the prophets and patriarchs and we stand as dwarfs! We read of Joseph, Moses, Abel, David, Samuel, Deborah, Gideon, Jephthah, Girolamo, Savonarola, Florence Nightingale, William Tyndale, John Wesley, Oral Roberts, Smith Wigglesworth, David Youngi Cho, Kathryn Kulman, Aimee Macpherson, Martin Luther, Archbishop Idahosa, Billy Graham, Nelson Mandela, Chief Awolowo, Nnamdi Azikiwe, Sir Amadu Bello, Tafawa Balewa, Abraham Lincoln, Bill Gates, Nkwame Nkruma, Chief M. K. O. Abiola, Julius Caesar, Plato, Napoleon, Charles Dickens, Edison, Faraday, Beethoven, Handel, etc and lots more and we gasp for breath! Let’s pause a while and draw examples from these men: They were like us and not angels; they fought the same battles we are fighting daily! They faced the same giants we are facing, but they were determined never to quit. They were hungry, often got tired, sometimes grew discouraged, depressed, were married, had children, faced rejection, some divorced, went through financial trials and even temporary failures. Thomas Edison, who discovered the electric bulb, was deaf and he was a newspaper vendor on trains. Charles Dickens was lame! Plato had a hunchback. Billy Graham was disappointed many times before he could find a life partner, and lots more. A collection of the portrait line of the hall of fame of Hebrews 11 shows that they were also “men of like passions” like us. If they could make it, then your life and ministry will make it. In this year 2025, when troubles show up, always remember the words of Paul Harvey: “In times like these, it’s always helpful to remember that there have always been times like these.” Never give up on life. You will make it at last by God’s grace!

name (Pray it very well). - Pull down every image of a “Mr. Nobody” in your life and ministry
