This devotional is designed to help you live like a champion and a victorious man/woman. One important key to living the victorious life God designed for you to live is foresight. If you don’t learn to look ahead and prepare for the future, you will never be able to triumph over obstacles. In looking ahead, there are three things you should always look out for: opportunities, challenges, and blessings. Unfortunately, the devil has developed expertise in getting people to focus only on the challenges and negative things locked up in the future.Ants don’t give in to that deception. Take note of the instruction that Joseph gave to his people. He set their eyes on the future. He told them, “God will surely visit you, and bring you out of this land unto the land that he swore to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob.” He was helping them to look ahead. He expected them to begin preparing for that day. He told them, “When He visits you, make sure you carry up my bones from here…”He did not inform them that they would be enslaved, maltreated and abused for many years. He did not inform them that a day would come when they would suffer so much that they would cry out to God for deliverance. He did not INFORM them of the NEGATIVE BATTLES AHEAD! He did not inform them that a day would come when the Egyptians would begin to kill their firstborn sons…He only showed them the blessings ahead. If you will overcome the challenges ahead, you will need to fix your gaze on the victory that God has promised. Forget the discouragement of today. Focus on the blessings ahead! You may have entered a season of birth pangs awating the delivery of your DREAMS. Stay calm and faithful. Hear Maltbie D. Babcock: “Pay as little attention to discouragement as possible. Plough ahead as a steamer does, rough or smooth – rain or shine. To carry your cargo and make your port is the point.” That is what ANTS do! Just look at the best always!
