PART TWO: COMMENTARY ON THE TEACHING
The Declaration of a Favorable Year
Dr. JoLynne Whittaker opens with a bold prophetic declaration: “THIS YEAR IS THE FAVORABLE YEAR OF THE LORD.” This is not merely a statement of hope or positive thinking—it is a decree rooted in the prophetic tradition of Isaiah 61, where the Messiah announces His mission to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord.

The enemies that opposed you—sickness, poverty, depression, rejection, stagnation—lose their legal right to fight you. You are not under their jurisdiction anymore. You have crossed over into a territory where different laws apply—the laws of favor, breakthrough, and rapid restoration.
The Characteristics of the Favorable Year
Dr. JoLynne outlines five specific manifestations of this season:
1. Favor Flows
Favor is not stagnant; it is a river. In the favorable year, favor flows toward you, around you, and through you. Favor with God. Favor with man. Favor in places you have never been. 3. Healing Comes Rapidly
Healing is not only available but rapid. The body responds quickly to the word of the Lord. Diseases dissolve. Pains disappear. Weakness turns to strength. And the result is not just recovery but being “better than before.” God does not just restore; He upgrades. You come out of the fire not smelling of smoke and stronger than you entered.
4. Joy Comes to Stay
Joy is not a visitor in this season; it is a resident. Not happiness that depends on circumstances, but joy that flows from the presence of God. This joy is not temporary; it “comes to stay.” It establishes a permanent residence in your heart.
5. Financial Increase Comes One Hundred Fold
The hundredfold return is not just a New Testament concept; it is the promise of the favorable year. Seed sown brings harvest multiplied. Resources multiply. Provision exceeds expectation. The hundredfold speaks of supernatural increase that cannot be explained by natural means.
The Foundation: Isaiah 61:1-7
Dr. JoLynne anchors this declaration in Isaiah 61, one of the most powerful prophetic chapters in Scripture:
“The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me, because the LORD has anointed me to bring good news to the poor; he has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound; to proclaim the year of the LORD’s favor…” (Isaiah 61:1-2a)
This was the scripture Jesus read in the synagogue in Nazareth, declaring that it was fulfilled in their hearing (Luke 4:16-21). The favorable year is not a future hope; it is a present reality for those who receive it by faith.
The passage continues with promises of:
– Comfort for those who mourn
– Beauty for ashes
– The oil of joy for mourning
– The garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness
– Rebuilding of ancient ruins
– Restoration of devastated places
– Everlasting joy
The Prophetic Flow

- I DECLARE that ancient ruins are rebuilt in my life and devastated places are restored!
- I DECLARE that the Spirit of the Lord is upon me to bring good news, bind up the brokenhearted, and proclaim liberty!
- I DECLARE that I am entering into everything the favorable year of the Lord has prepared for me!
PART FOUR: PRAYER FOR THE FAVORABLE YEAR
Father, I thank You for the prophetic word released through Your servant Dr. JoLynne Whittaker. I receive it as my portion. I declare that this year—2026—is the favorable year of the Lord for me.
I receive the shift in possibility. What couldn’t happen before, I believe can happen now. I receive the end of opposition. What fought me before fights me no more.
Let favor flow toward me like a river.
