BASIC SCRIPTURES: 1 JOHN 1:6;
6 If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth:
1 John 2:1-6 King James Version
My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:
2 And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.
3 And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments.
4 He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.
5 But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him.
6 He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.

1 John 1:6 (NIV): 6 If we claim to have fellowship with him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live out the truth.
1 John 2:1-6 (NIV): 1 My dear children, I write this to you so that you will not sin. But if anybody does sin, we have an advocate with the Father—Jesus Christ, the Righteous One. 2 He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world.
3 We know that we have come to know him if we keep his commands. 4 Whoever says, “I know him,” but does not do what he commands is a liar, and the truth is not in that person. 5 But if anyone obeys his word, love for God is truly made complete in them. This is how we know we are in him: 6 Whoever claims to live in him must live as Jesus did. TODAYS SCRIPTURE: March 26TH 2024
Encouragement for the Day: In these verses, John emphasizes the importance of living in truth and obedience to God’s commands. While none of us are without sin, Jesus Christ serves as our advocate before the Father, offering forgiveness and reconciliation when we fall short. However, genuine fellowship with God is demonstrated through obedience to His commands. As followers of Christ, let us strive to walk in His footsteps, living lives of love, compassion, and obedience. By doing so, we bear witness to our relationship with Him and reflect His light to the world around us. May we continuously seek to align our lives with the example set by Jesus Christ, finding joy and fulfillment in living out His teachings each day. TODAYS SCRIPTURE: March 26TH 2024
