True love begins with God. ❤️
Beloved, as we gather our hearts today on this special day set aside to celebrate love, we must return to the Source. The world defines love by emotions, by fleeting feelings, by what it can get. But we who know the Scriptures understand that love is not merely what we feel—it is Who we know.
“We love because He first loved us.” (1 John 4:19)
Before you ever drew your first breath, the heart of God was already inclined toward you. Before you ever performed your first good deed or committed your first mistake, the Father’s affection was settled upon you. This is the foundation of all true love—not what we do, but what He has done.
đź’ž LOVE IS SEEN IN CARE
Love is not an abstract concept. It is not a philosophical idea debated in halls of learning. Love is practical. Love is tangible. Love is visible.
When God loved Israel, He led them with a pillar of cloud by day and fire by night. He fed them with manna from heaven. He ensured their shoes did not wear out for forty years. His love was SEEN in His care.
Today, as you celebrate, ask yourself: Is my love visible? Can those around me see my love in the way I attend to their needs? In the way I notice when they are struggling? In the way I provide, protect, and prioritize them?
Love that cannot be seen is love that cannot be felt.
đź‘‚ LOVE IS HEARD IN WORDS
God spoke creation into existence. He spoke healing to the sick. He spoke peace to the storm. He spoke forgiveness to the sinner. Words carry the power of life and death, and love must find expression through the tongue.
How many marriages have starved not because of cruelty, but because of silence? How many children have withered not because of neglect, but because words of affirmation were never spoken? How many friendships have faded not because of betrayal, but because appreciation was never voiced?
Today, let love be heard. Speak to your spouse. Speak to your children. Speak to your parents. Speak to your friends. Do not assume they know. Tell them. Let your words carry the weight of your heart.
🤝 LOVE IS PROVEN IN ACTIONS
The ultimate demonstration of love is not a card, not a gift, not a romantic dinner—though these have their place. The ultimate demonstration of love is sacrifice.
“Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends.” (John 15:13)
Jesus did not merely speak of love—He proved it at Calvary. He did not merely teach about love—He demonstrated it on the cross.
Your love is proven not by what you say when everything is going well, but by what you do when it costs you something. It is proven by the forgiveness you extend when you have been wronged. By the patience you show when you have been provoked. By the kindness you offer when you have been overlooked.
Actions speak louder than words because actions cost more than words.
🏠LOVE THAT TRANSFORMS RELATIONSHIPS
As we celebrate this Valentine’s Day, our prayer is that your life be surrounded with love that is:
Pure – Not mixed with selfish motives or hidden agendas. Love that seeks the highest good of the other, not what you can get from them.
Peaceful – Not tumultuous, not chaotic, not driven by jealousy or insecurity. Love that calms the storms in your relationships.
Purposeful – Not aimless, not drifting, but intentional. Love that builds, edifies, and points others to the ultimate Lover of their souls.
🎉 A BLESSING FOR YOU THIS VALENTINE’S DAY
May your heart never lack love—not because people are perfect, but because God is present.
May your relationships reflect grace—not because you are flawless, but because you have received mercy.
May your home be filled with the kind of love that silences the enemy and testifies to the world that you have been with Jesus.
For love is of God, and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. (1 John 4:7)
🙏 PRAYER FOR VALENTINE’S DAY
Father, in the name of Jesus, we receive Your love afresh today. Let Your love fill every empty space in our hearts. Let Your love heal every wound that past rejections have inflicted. Let Your love teach us how to love—purely, peacefully, and purposefully.
Bless every marriage represented here. Strengthen every covenant. Restore every broken relationship. Draw every prodigal back to the table of love.
For those who are single and waiting, let them not feel forgotten today. Let them know that the Lover of their souls sees them, values them, and is preparing what is prepared for them.
May our celebrations today honor You, the Author of love. And may the love we share point everyone who witnesses it to the Love that never fails.
