The Significance of the First Sunday of March
The first Sunday of March 2026 is not just another day on the calendar. It is a divine appointment, a sacred gathering at the threshold of a new month. As we step into March, this service at Koinonia Abuja serves as a spiritual launchpad—a place where heaven meets earth, where the Word goes forth with power, and where lives are transformed.
The timing is strategic: the first day of the month, the first Sunday of March, the beginning of a new season. What is sown in the spirit on this day will set the tone for the entire month ahead.
The Theme: Transforming Power of God’s Word
Apostle Joshua Selman anchors this invitation on John 8:32: “And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” This verse reveals a progression:
Knowing the Truth – Not just intellectual assent, but experiential knowledge. Truth in Scripture is not abstract philosophy; it is reality revealed. When you truly KNOW the truth, something happens.

- Establish You in Victory – Not just temporary success, but established victory. Settled, secured, sustained triumph.

- Humility – Acknowledging that you need God
- Expectancy – Believing that something will happen

I come with expectancy. I believe that something extraordinary happens when Your people gather in Your presence. I believe that You will meet me at the point of my need.
Let the light of Your Word shine into every dark area of my life. Let truth be revealed that breaks every limitation. Let freedom come—full and complete.
In this season of deliverance and exemption, let me experience both. Deliver me from every bondage. Exempt me from every evil.
Establish me in victory that cannot be shaken.
