BASIC SCRIPTURES: REVELATION 12:5- 10; ROMANS 8:33-34
- Revelation 12:5-10 (ESV):
5 She gave birth to a male child, one who is to rule all the nations with a rod of iron, but her child was caught up to God and to his throne,
6 and the woman fled into the wilderness, where she has a place prepared by God, in which she is to be nourished for 1,260 days.
7 Now war arose in heaven, Michael and his angels fighting against the dragon. And the dragon and his angels fought back,
8 but he was defeated, and there was no longer any place for them in heaven.
9 And the great dragon was thrown down, that ancient serpent, who is called the devil and Satan, the deceiver of the whole world—he was thrown down to the earth, and his angels were thrown down with him.
10 And I heard a loud voice in heaven, saying, “Now the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God and the authority of his Christ have come, for the accuser of our brothers has been thrown down, who accuses them day and night before our God.
- Romans 8:33-34 (ESV):
33 Who shall bring any charge against God’s elect? It is God who justifies.
34 Who is to condemn? Christ Jesus is the one who died—more than that, who was raised—who is at the right hand of God, who indeed is interceding for us.
Prayer Points:
Gratitude for Redemption: Thank God for the salvation and power brought through Christ’s victory over the enemy (Revelation 12:10). Express gratitude for the forgiveness of sins and eternal life.
Protection and Nourishment: Pray for God’s protection and provision in the wilderness seasons of your life, just as the woman in Revelation found refuge prepared by God (Revelation 12:6).
Spiritual Warfare: Ask God to help you recognize and stand firm in spiritual battles, knowing that victory belongs to the Lord (Revelation 12:7-8). Pray for strength to resist the enemy’s schemes.
Defeat of the Accuser: Declare the defeat of the accuser, Satan, in your life and in the lives of believers (Revelation 12:10). Pray for the silencing of negative accusations and condemnations.
Justification: Thank God that as a believer, you are justified in Christ (Romans 8:33). Pray for a deep understanding of God’s grace and righteousness.
Intercession of Christ: Rejoice in the knowledge that Jesus Christ intercedes for you before God (Romans 8:34). Pray for His ongoing intercession in your life and for the concerns on your heart.
Freedom from Condemnation: Pray for deliverance from condemnation and the assurance that no one can successfully bring charges against God’s elect (Romans 8:33).
Personal Needs: Lift up your specific needs, challenges, and concerns to God, knowing that He is your ultimate source of help and victory.
These prayer points are centered around the themes of victory, justification, and intercession found in Revelation 12:5-10 and Romans 8:33-34. May you find strength and encouragement in these passages and in your prayers.
