Continued from yesterday! Jude was killed with arrows for refusing to renounce his faith! Luke was hanged in Greece! Mark’s journey ended in Alexandria, Egypt, where he was dragged through the streets by horses until his demise. Matthias, who was chosen to replace Judas, was stoned and then beheaded! Wow! John the Beloved: His enemies threw him in a huge basin of boiling oil. However, when he could not be boiled, he was taken from the boiling oil and was sentenced to slave labour in the mines of Patmos (an island). It was here that John had a vision of Jesus Christ and wrote the prophetic book of Revelation. The apostle John was later freed, possibly due to old age, and he returned to what is now known as Turkey. He died as an old man sometime after AD 98, the only apostle to die peacefully in old age. Wow! As we reflect on their stories, we should draw inspiration from their courage and unending commitment to their faith. Their legacy is a reminder that even in the darkest of times, the light of faith shines brightest! Paul faced torture and was ultimately beheaded by Nero in Rome! Ah! Never, ever give up and never BETRAY THE LORD THIS YEAR! They were NOT afraid of any evil or even death! That should be your COURAGE and FRESH LOVE for the LORD this year! Romans 8: 35 is the “ICE BREAKER”: “Who (What) shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?” Tell the devil that your answer is “NO!” Pray seriously now!
