Welcome to today’s devotional encounter! It was F. Scott Fitzgerald who said, “Never confuse a single defeat with a final defeat.” Declare to yourself: “My success is not behind me. I am not defeated.” Make that declaration three more times now! Whether in business, in finance, health, or home, success is what everyone desires. According to a dictionary, success means “the accomplishment of an aim or purpose.” To accomplish an aim or a purpose is to succeed! As a child of God, success is your covenant right(Joshua 1: 8-9). Success is not a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for those who are in Christ. It should be like a “daily Manna” from your God. One major evidence of God in your life, family, ministry or business is success, progress and not demotion! When you are not seeing success, it means you need more of God in your activity or business. A young man who was fresh out of the university, and had completed his mandatory one year youth service, went to church to give his testimony of a new job. While speaking, he said he had failed JAMB (the pre-university admission exams) more than 7 times. My God! That is 7 years of his life. He said that at a point, he believed he wasn’t destined for success. He said he thought he had already missed his chances in life. But when he read the Bible verse in Isaiah 43:18-19 which says “Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland,” he said the verse hit him with a new revelation. He saw that his glory days were not behind, but ahead. Catch this: Your glory season has come! Claim it! Whatever in your life that is making you feel like IT IS OVER WITH YOU is the voice of the father of all liars – LUCIFER! Resist him! HE HAS NEVER TOLD ONE TRUTH IN ALL HIS LIFE. The Holy Ghost is saying: Your success is not in the past! It is now! KEEP MOVING! RESIST DEPRESSION! HOLD ON and HOLD OUT!
