Verse 19 of today’s scripture is a very popular verse that many people recite and quote often to pray for God’s supply and provision! But, it is a verse/prayer that does not stand alone! Before verse 19, there is a verse 18 – “But I have all, and abound: I am full, having received of Epaphroditus the things which were sent from you, an odour of a sweet smell, a sacrifice acceptable, well pleasing to God.” That powerful prayer in vs 19, came out of the heart of an apostle that had been blessed and enriched with the gifts of the Philippians in vs. 18! They did not just give Paul what he needed, they gave him more than enough. Wow! Apostle Paul said in vs. 18 – “I AM FULL…” Amazing! Hear this: It’s not just enough to pray and confess Philippians 4:19; make it a duty to practice Philippians 4:18! Train your hands to give and be a channel to make other lives and God’s work to be FULL (SUFFICIENT)! Incline your heart to share with others! When Heaven releases its blessings upon you, it is not designed for you alone! It is designed for you to be a DISTRIBUTOR unto others. God blesses you in order to make you a BLESSING! Hands that are not open to give are not open to receive! Hear Billy Graham, “We are not cisterns made for hoarding; we are channels made for sharing.” A German proverb says, “What I spent, I had; what I saved, I lost; what I gave, I have.” Never forget Philippians 4: 18 is the door to Phillipians 4: 19.
