This SUNDAY, THE 9TH OF AUGUST, 2026 , we gather for more than a graduation ceremony; we witness the commissioning of men and women who have been equipped through the Koinonia School of Ministry (KSOM) , Abuja Campus, to become lights in their generation and ambassadors of God’s Kingdom.
This is a landmark moment. The 13th Graduation and Impartation Service is not just a celebration of academic achievement—it is a spiritual commissioning. It is the release of a new generation of Kingdom ambassadors into the harvest fields. It is a moment of prophetic impartation, where graduates receive the mantle of ministry and the fire of the Holy Spirit.

The theme of this graduation and impartation service is LAMPSTANDS. In Matthew 5:15-16, Jesus declares that we are lights placed on a lampstand—not hidden under a basket, but visible to all, bringing light to every household and glorifying the Father.
What Does It Mean to Be a Lampstand?
1. A Lampstand Is a Vessel of Light
A lampstand does not produce its own light—it holds the light. In the Tabernacle, the golden lampstand was designed to hold the oil and the flame. You are not the source of the light; the Holy Spirit is. Your role is to be a vessel—clean, consecrated, and positioned to carry His presence.
2. A Lampstand Is Placed for Maximum Impact
A lampstand is strategically placed to give light to all in the house. You are not called to hide your light, your gifts, or your calling. You are called to shine. The world needs to see your good works—not to glorify you, but to glorify your Father in heaven.
3. A Lampstand Must Be Kept Burning
The lampstand in the Tabernacle was to be kept burning continually (Exodus 27:20-21). It required a constant supply of pure olive oil. Similarly, our light must be sustained by the fresh oil of the Holy Spirit, the fire of prayer, and the fuel of God’s Word.
4. A Lampstand Testifies of Christ
The lampstand in the Tabernacle was fashioned with almond blossoms, knops, and flowers—pointing to the beauty, fruitfulness, and resurrection of Christ. As lampstands, we are called to testify of Jesus—His person, His work, and His coming.
