Psalms 73:25 – Whom have I in heaven but thee? and there is none upon earth that I desire beside thee.
Psalms 25:1-2 – Unto thee, O LORD, do I lift up my soul. O my God, I trust in thee: let me not be ashamed, let not mine enemies triumph over me.
Psalms 34:19 – Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD delivereth him out of them all.

Isaiah 49:15 – Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? yea, they may forget, yet will I not forget thee.
Psalms 102:13 – Thou shalt arise, and have mercy upon Zion: for the time to favour her, yea, the set time, is come.
Psalms 145:15 – The eyes of all wait upon thee; and thou givest them their meat in due season.
Psalms 61:2 – From the end of the earth will I cry unto thee, when my heart is overwhelmed: lead me to the rock that is higher than I.
Psalms 51:17 – The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise.
Psalms 57:3 – He shall send from heaven, and save me from the reproach of him that would swallow me up. Selah. God shall send forth his mercy and his truth.
Romans 9:15 – For he saith to Moses, I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion.
Psalms 3:3 – But thou, O LORD, art a shield for me; my glory, and the lifter up of mine head.
Matthew 11:28 – Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
1 Peter 1:3 – Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.
Matthew 14:30 – But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me.
Luke 17:12-13 – And as he entered into a certain village, there met him ten men that were lepers, which stood afar off: And they lifted up their voices, and said, Jesus, Master, have mercy on us.
Mark 10:48 – And many charged him that he should hold his peace: but he cried the more a great deal, Thou Son of David, have mercy on me.
PART TWO: COMMENTARY ON THE SCRIPTURES
Introduction: A Compilation of Mercy and Faith
Pastor Jerry Eze and the Streams of Joy International team have curated a powerful collection of scriptures for NSPPDians to declare. This compilation is not random but carefully selected to address the themes of this season: mercy, boldness, trust, deliverance, and the unfailing love of God.
Each verse carries specific weight and reveals a particular dimension of God’s nature and His dealings with His people. Together, they form a comprehensive declaration of faith for this season.
The Foundation of Thanksgiving and Mercy
Psalm 136:1 establishes the foundation of all prayer—thanksgiving. The refrain “his mercy endureth for ever” echoes through this psalm, reminding us that God’s mercy is not temporary but eternal. It is the bedrock upon which we stand.
Hebrews 4:16 invites us to “come boldly unto the throne of grace.” Boldness is not arrogance but confidence in God’s character. We come not because we deserve but because He is gracious. We come to obtain mercy and find grace for every time of need.
The Declaration of Trust
Psalm 73:25 declares exclusive devotion: “Whom have I in heaven but thee?” This is a statement of singular focus. God alone is our desire, our portion, our prize.
Psalm 25:1-2 lifts the soul to God and declares trust. The plea “let me not be ashamed” acknowledges that our hope is in Him alone. When we trust in God, we will not be put to shame.
The Assurance of Deliverance
Psalm 34:19 acknowledges that afflictions are many but affirms that deliverance is certain. The righteous may face many troubles, but the Lord delivers them out of ALL.
Hebrews 13:5 promises divine presence: “I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.” This is the anchor of the soul. No matter what we face, we are not alone.
Psalm 3:2 records the enemy’s taunt: “There is no help for him in God.” But the following verses (not included here but in Psalm 3) declare that God is a shield and the lifter of the head. The enemy’s words are lies.
The Mercy of God
Hosea 1:7 declares that God saves by mercy, not by human means—not by bow, sword, battle, horses, or horsemen. Salvation is of the Lord.
Isaiah 49:15 compares God’s compassion to a mother’s love—and declares that His love surpasses even that. A mother may forget, but God will not forget you.
Psalm 102:13 declares that the set time for favour has come. God arises and has mercy. This is the prophetic declaration for this season.
The Cry for Help
Psalm 61:2 is the cry of an overwhelmed heart: “Lead me to the rock that is higher than I.” When we cannot stand, God lifts us to a place of safety.
Psalm 51:17 reminds us that God does not despise a broken and contrite heart. Our weakness is not a turn-off; it is an invitation for His strength.
Psalm 57:3 promises that God will send from heaven and save. He sends forth His mercy and His truth—twin agents of deliverance.
The Invitation to Rest
Matthew 11:28 is Jesus’ invitation to the weary and heavy laden. He does not condemn; He calls. He does not reject; He receives. He gives rest.
1 Peter 1:3 celebrates the abundant mercy that has begotten us again to a lively hope. Mercy is not just for the moment; it is for eternity.
The Cry for Mercy
The final three scriptures capture the desperate cry for mercy:
Matthew 14:30 – Peter, sinking in the waves, cries out, “Lord, save me.” It is a short prayer but a sufficient one. Jesus reached out immediately.
Luke 17:12-13 – Ten lepers stood afar off and lifted their voices: “Jesus, Master, have mercy on us.” Their distance did not prevent their cry from reaching His ears.
Mark 10:48 – Blind Bartimaeus, despite being told to be quiet, cried out even more: “Thou Son of David, have mercy on me.” His persistence was rewarded with healing.
PART THREE: PERSONALIZED PRAYER POINTS
Prayer of Thanksgiving (Psalm 136:1)
Father, I give thanks unto You, for You are good. Your mercy endures forever—not just for a season, not just for a day, but forever. I thank You for Your everlasting mercy over my life.
Prayer of Bold Access (Hebrews 4:16)
Father, I come boldly to Your throne of grace. I do not come timidly or hesitantly, but with confidence in Your character. I obtain mercy for my failures and find grace for my needs. Let Your grace be sufficient for me today.
Prayer of Exclusive Devotion (Psalm 73:25)
Lord, whom have I in heaven but You? There is none upon earth that I desire beside You. You are my portion, my prize, my passion. Let my heart be wholly Yours.
Prayer of Trust and Confidence (Psalm 25:1-2)
Unto You, O Lord, I lift up my soul. I trust in You; let me not be ashamed. Let not my enemies triumph over me. You are my confidence, and I will not be disappointed.
Prayer for Deliverance (Psalm 34:19)
Father, though afflictions may be many, I trust that You will deliver me out of them all. No matter how numerous or how intense, Your delivering power is greater.
Prayer of Contentment (Hebrews 13:5)
Lord, let my heart be free from covetousness. Teach me contentment with what I have. And let the assurance that You will never leave nor forsake me be my anchor.
Prayer Against the Enemy’s Lies (Psalm 3:2)
Father, when the enemy says there is no help for me in God, I declare it is a lie. You are my help, my shield, my glory, and the lifter of my head.
Prayer for Mercy (Hosea 1:7)
Lord, save me by Your mercy, not by my own efforts. Not by bow, nor by sword, nor by battle, but by Your gracious intervention.
Prayer of Assurance (Isaiah 49:15)
Father, though human compassion may fail, Your compassion never fails. You cannot forget me. You have engraved me on the palms of Your hands.
Prayer for the Set Time (Psalm 102:13)
Lord, arise and have mercy upon me. The set time to favour me has come. I step into my season of divine visitation.
Prayer for Provision (Psalm 145:15)
Father, my eyes wait upon You. Give me my meat in due season. Provide for every need according to Your riches in glory.
Prayer When Overwhelmed (Psalm 61:2)
Lord, when my heart is overwhelmed, lead me to the rock that is higher than I. Lift me above my circumstances. Place me on solid ground.
Prayer of Brokenness (Psalm 51:17)
Father, I offer You a broken spirit and a contrite heart. These You will not despise. Receive my humility and meet me with Your grace.
Prayer for Mercy and Truth (Psalm 57:3)
Lord, send from heaven and save me. Send forth Your mercy and Your truth. Let them be my deliverers.
Prayer of Divine Sovereignty (Romans 9:15)
Father, I rest in Your sovereign mercy. You will have mercy on whom You will have mercy. I trust Your choices and Your timing.

Prayer When Sinking (Matthew 14:30)
Lord, when I see the waves and begin to sink, let my cry be immediate: “Lord, save me!” And let Your hand reach out immediately to catch me.
Prayer of the Leper’s Cry (Luke 17:12-13)
Jesus, Master, have mercy on me. Though I stand afar off, let my cry reach Your ears. Heal me, cleanse me, restore me.
Prayer of Persistent Faith (Mark 10:48)

Father, I thank You for these powerful scriptures. I thank You that Your mercy endures forever and that I can come boldly to Your throne.
Lord, I lift up my soul to You. I trust You with my life, my future, my all. Let me not be ashamed; let not my enemies triumph over me.
When afflictions come, deliver me. When I am overwhelmed, lead me to the rock. When I sink, save me. When I cry out, hear me.
I receive Your mercy today. I receive Your grace. I receive Your truth. I receive Your rest.
You are my shield, my glory, and the lifter of my head. I look to You.
