Welcome to another day in this fasting programme! Groaning is defined Biblically as suffering or pain that cannot be expressed in words! There are a few words that can give us a better description than the word that St. Paul uses in Verse 22: “groaning.” Groaning is a very strong word.

It means an expression of pain that goes beyond mere physical pain. In today’s scripture, Paul associates groaning with childbirth. Wow! Learn to miss a meal or two in these 21-day prayers! I know you are busy but hear Martin Luther:“Work,work,frommorninguntillateatnight.
In fact, I have so much to do that I shall have to spend the first three hours in prayer.” Learn this: THE HIGHER YOU GO IN LIFE, CAREER, BUSINESS, FAMILY AND MINISTRY, THE MORE ENEMIES YOU HAVE! Why are you LAZY in SEASONS OF PRAYER? Do you know that even your enemies are fasting and they groan too to see your downfall or death?
Ah, hear Oswald Chambers: “Prayer is not only asking, but an attitude of mind which produces the atmosphere in which asking is perfectly natural.” “Work as if you were to live a hundred years, pray as if you were to die tomorrow” (Benjamin Franklin).
I respect the great A. W. Tozer: “To desire revival… and at the same time to neglect (personal) prayer and devotion is to wish one way and walk another.” Can you contradict Bob Sorge? – “Our devotional life with God is more like the planting of a garden.
When we arise from sowing into the secret place, we will not usually be able to point to immediate results or benefits. What we sow today will require an entire season of growth before the results are manifest.” So pray and wait! God is not a MAN that He should lie!
