In Daniel 6, Daniel distinguished himself because an excellent spirit was found in him. How was it found? Daniel put a mark of excellence in all that he did. His works could not be faulted! He was the best among his equals!

What’s the key to producing excellence? Hear Paul’s words, “Every man that strives for mastery is TEMPERATE IN ALL THINGS.” To be “TEMPERATE” is to exercise self-restraint. It means that you don’t do everything that your flesh wants to do. It means that you force yourself to work when your body is saying it wants to sleep.
It means that you force yourself to do extra when your body is saying that you’ve done enough. The fight for excellence is the fight to: STRETCH YOURSELF AND STRETCH YOUR BODY AND MIND. Make it sweat!When you do that, that same spirit of excellence in Daniel will develop in you.
As 2023 ends and in 2024, refuse to settle for mediocrity. Don’t settle for less than the best! You were destined for excellence, strive for it. Be a DANIEL! Don’t settle for less than the best! Pray now!
