ODM DAILY TOPIC; WHEN YOU FEEL ‘LOCKED-IN’ IN DESPAIR! FEAR NOT!

Fear always causes paralysis. When God works a great miracle in your life, it’s very easy to forget quickly and slip back into fear. That is what happened to the children of Israel. They had just been brought out of Egypt by God’s mighty hand but when they faced difficulty, they started speaking in unbelief! The Red Sea was before them; they couldn’t move backwards, the Egyptian army was marching to them and drawing closer and they couldn’t go back. They were paralysed and LOCKED IN! It was as if a cloud of hopelessness and despair had descended on them. They started crying and grumbling in the ears of Moses; “Why didn’t you leave us in Egypt; it would have been better for us to die there, at least, we would be given a proper burial…” Fear had clouded their thinking. They had taken their minds off the greatness of their God and His faithfulness to His covenant. God had promised to deliver them from the land of bondage and to bring them into the land of promise; but that promise was no more on their minds. The present challenge made the promise sound like a lie. The LORD is saying to someone – “I AM NOT A MAN THAT I SHOULD LIE!” Fear thrives when faith is weak. You cannot afford to let fear stop you. You need to fight back with faith. YOUR GRAVE WILL NOT BE IN EGYPT! You need to maintain your stand on the Word of God no matter what comes. God has never made a promise that He will not keep. Just as Moses told the people, “Stand still and see the salvation of the Lord…” I am telling you today, “Stand still, andSEE THE SALVATION OF THE LORD.” STAND STILL means – DON’T WORRY! REFUSE TO FEAR! LOOK TO GOD IN THE PEACE OF YOUR HEART! In Isaiah 53: 1-12, the Bible says that the arm of the Lord will be revealed to anyone who believes. If you believe His Word, YOU WILL NEVER END IN SHAME! Hold on and hold out! Determine to continue! I see you dancing!
