One day, in 1990, Rowling was traveling from Manchester to London where her train was delayed for 4 hours. Instead of complaining like most of us do when we are faced with situations we can’t control, she was calm. Then, like a flash an idea for a novel came to her, she had no pen to jot it down but that did not stop her from dreaming about it. Immediately she got home, she started to write.
In 1993 seven years after graduating from the university, she was as self as the biggest failure in life. She had a failed marriage and was jobless, with a young daughter to cater for. She also lost her loving mother and was living on government welfare package. She went into depression and contemplated suicide like I did just before I discovered this ODM vision. Then she decides that she had to make something meaningful out of her life for the sake of Jessica, her daughter.

She went back to build up on the ideal she had at the train station years earlier and came up with her first book. The book was rejected by 12 published houses but she kept on trying. FINALLY HER FIRST BOOK TITLED ‘HARRY POTIERAND THE PHILOSOPHER’S STONE’ was published yes you guessed right. She had one of the bestselling book series in history one of her book sold 1 million copies on the first day release she is now one of the most influential people in the world.
This vision ODM does not believe in any story writing in harry potter because they bend toward the mysterious, the supernatural and witchcraft in many cases. So our idea is not on the witchcraft cases but on the talent issue. Despite the fact that she was criticized by some publishers and harassed by depression she refused to give up indeed there is no hopeless situation in life; a single ideal can change your life. Oh!
That was exactly the story of Ruth, the grandmother of Jesus Christ, compared to her friend orphan who gave up. Refuse to be an orphan be the next Ruth; stubborn and defiant towards battles, failure, depression, self pity etc. hold on this is your year. Our Daily Manna Devotional 8th June 2018
