TOPIC: HE WENT TO WAR WITHOUT A GUN! REFUSE TO BEND!
During World War II, a man named Desmond Doss, a US army corporal, was dragged into the army. But he carried a dangerous conviction: “I will not kill!” due to his religious belief! This was seemingly impossible for a soldier at the battlefront! The devil and the system rose against him! Commanders roared, everyone mocked him telling him he wouldn’t last a day. Bullets were flying, death was everywhere, but this man refused to touch a gun! Everyone expected pressure to break him, but Desmond Doss refused to bend! While others carried weapons of death, he carried the weapon of faith! While others trained to destroy, he trained to rescue! And the same man they mocked, later rescued 75 wounded soldiers from the jaws of death! Ah! In Daniel 3:18, the three Hebrew boys declared, “But even if he does not, we want you to know, Your Majesty, that we will not serve your gods or worship the image of gold you have set up.” This was a powerful generation of men who stood by their convictions! Oh, how sad I am when I see how this generation turns the switch on their convictions at the slightest inconvenience! Once pressure comes, people suddenly become “flexible.” They say, “Because of my children…” “Because of my job…” “Because things are hard…” “Because everybody is doing it…” Ah! Hear this: True conviction is revealed when circumstances fight against it! US army corporal, Desmond Doss, and the 3 Hebrew boys, proved that a man/woman can remain faithful even when the whole system expects compromise! Close with this: “Losers adjust God’s Word to fit their situation, but winners adjust their situation to fit God’s Word!” Refuse to bend! Trust God! Hold on and hold out! compromise in my life, be roasted to ashes! I refuse to bend
because of a job, money, children, pressures of life,
depression, sorrow, etc, in Jesus name (Pray it seriously). - Every demonic voice shouting, “compromise or die”, be
silenced by fire! I choose to stand even if it costs me
everything (Pray it seriously till you have peace to stop).
