Brother Paul with zeal and pride in the Lord could boldly declare: “I have finished my course. I have kept the faith” (Verse 7).
Most people are poor finishers of any project they begin; marriages, academics, ministry, business, relationships, govenment, salvation, e.t.c. Most people run out of steam midway.
That is why I ask for grace to finish my course! This ODM vision is 25 years old and I have been writing for a quarter of a century! It can only be God! Most devotionals (about 99%) in my country and indeed in the world are done by “Ghost” or “contract” writers (writing on behalf of someone else by listening to their CD messages or sermons, etc).
But the LORD has not allowed me to give out this ODM writing to others! I still do it
personally with His guidance! It’s tough and I have cried to Him to bring contract writers because others are doing it, but He keeps telling me; “MY GRACE IS SUFFICIENT FOR YOU!
YOU ARE NOT OTHERS!” Oh! This my FATHER GOD! I don’t fully understand Him! How many projects have you abandoned? In this 2nd half of 2023, deal with that spirit of ABANDONMENT – NEVER FINISHING WELL!
Demas could not finish (Verse 10 ), Judas could not finish, Moses did not finish well, Samson nearly had a disastrous end. Apart from Caleb and Joshua, nobody above 20- years- old who left Egypt saw the Promised Land.
The grace to develop staying power shall be yours from today!!!
Joel 2:4 says “….and as horsemen so shall they run.” May God help us to never run out of grace and strength in this year 2023/ beyond! When others are quitting, may His courage be your portion! Our banner shall be as this song: “Stand up, stand up for Jesus. Ye soldiers of the cross. Lift up the Royal banner, it must not suffer loss.
From victory unto victory, He will lead us.” Amen! When you are tempted to quit trusting the LORD concerning any matter this year, remember Isaiah 40:29, “He giveth power to the faint.” NEVER QUIT MIDWAY! Like Paul, may you and your family finish well this year in Jesus name. Pray seriously now!
