📖 THE MESSAGE
Ministers of God, there are times when spirits enter a territory and stir resistance against the Gospel. People don’t always know why; they just become angry. Angry at pastors. Angry at the Church. They take one isolated incident and turn it into hatred for everyone. That hatred is often demonically engineered.
You see it even in families; children suddenly hating their parents without reason, spouses turning against each other, unable to explain why. It is spiritual manipulation at work.
The same pattern appears in societies: members hating pastors, pastors hating members, governments hating their own people, and making irrational decisions. These men become puppets in the realm of the spirit because the spirit that influences you is the spirit that sets the laws (legislates) through you.
UK, don’t fold your arms. Don’t betray the generations of our children and their children. We need watchmen; men who can see beyond themselves. Every father must rise as a watchman. Do not leave prayer to your wife while you sleep. When you said “I do,” you didn’t only commit to love, you accepted responsibility. And when darkness approaches your home, your neighborhood, or your territory, you take up your crown, put on your priestly garment, and stand in prayer until darkness retreats.

🔥 COMMENTARY: THE BATTLE FOR INFLUENCE AND LEGISLATION
Apostle Joshua Selman unveils a profound spiritual principle that explains much of the chaos we witness in our world today: The spirit that influences you is the spirit that legislates through you.
This is not merely about government legislation—it is about the laws, patterns, and atmospheres that are established in your life, your home, your church, and your nation through the influence of the spirits you host.
🧠 Understanding Spiritual Influence
Influence is the capacity to affect the character, development, or behavior of someone or something. In the spiritual realm, influence is not neutral. You are either being influenced by the Spirit of God or by spirits of darkness. There is no vacuum.
What you watch, what you listen to, what you meditate on, who you associate with—all these are portals through which spirits gain access to influence you. And once they influence you, they begin to legislate through you.
Legislation here means:
– Setting the atmosphere in your home
– Determining the direction of your decisions
– Establishing patterns in your family lineage
– Affecting the spiritual temperature of your territory
👁️ Recognizing Demonic Engineering
Apostle Selman identifies several manifestations of demonic influence:
1. Unexplained Anger
People suddenly become angry at pastors, at the Church, at authority figures—and they cannot explain why. A single incident is magnified into hatred for an entire group. This is not rational; it is spiritual.
2. Family Division
Children turn against parents without cause. Spouses become hostile toward each other, unable to articulate the source of their resentment. The enemy specializes in dividing what God has joined.
3. Irrational Decision-Making
Governments make policies that harm their own citizens. Leaders act against the interests of those they are meant to serve. They become puppets, dancing to the tune of dark spirits.
4. Hatred Without Cause
Psalm 35:19 speaks of those who hate without reason. This is a mark of satanic influence. When hatred precedes offense, you know a spirit is at work.
🛡️ The Call to Watchmen
The prophet Ezekiel declared: “Son of man, I have made you a watchman for the house of Israel” (Ezekiel 3:17). A watchman is one who sees danger approaching and sounds the alarm.
Apostle Selman specifically addresses fathers:
“Every father must rise as a watchman. Do not leave prayer to your wife while you sleep. When you said ‘I do,’ you didn’t only commit to love, you accepted responsibility.”
This is a prophetic correction to the abdication of spiritual leadership in many homes. Men have handed over the mantle of intercession to their wives while they sleep, scroll, or disengage. But when darkness approaches your territory, you cannot delegate the battle.

🌍 A Word for Nations
Apostle Selman specifically addresses the UK:
“UK, don’t fold your arms. Don’t betray the generations of our children and their children.”
This is a prophetic warning to nations that have grown comfortable, passive, and prayerless. When the Church sleeps, darkness advances. When watchmen abandon their posts, the enemy enters.
The spiritual condition of a nation is determined by the prayer commitment of its saints. Nations are not saved by politics, economics, or military power—they are saved by intercession.

Ephesians 6:12 – “For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.”
2 Corinthians 10:4-5 – “For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ.”
Ezekiel 22:30 – “So I sought for a man among them who would make a wall, and stand in the gap before Me on behalf of the land, that I should not destroy it; but I found no one.”
Isaiah 62:6-7 – “I have set watchmen on your walls, O Jerusalem; they shall never hold their peace day or night. You who make mention of the Lord, do not keep silent, and give Him no rest till He establishes and till He makes Jerusalem a praise in the earth.”
🙏 PRAYER POINTS BASED ON THIS TEACHING
1. Personal Cleansing and Realignment
Father, search my heart and reveal every spirit influencing me that is not of You. Cleanse me from every demonic influence and align me fully with Your Spirit. Let Your Spirit alone legislate through my life.
2. For Fathers and Husbands
Lord, raise up watchmen in every home. Restore fathers to their priestly position. Let no man abdicate his responsibility to stand in prayer for his family. Equip us with the crown of authority and the garment of intercession.
3. Against Unexplained Anger and Division
Every spirit stirring anger against God’s servants in my life—I bind you now! Every demonic force dividing families, marriages, and relationships—be scattered by the fire of the Holy Ghost!
4. For Nations and Leaders
Father, have mercy upon our nation. Forgive us for prayerlessness and complacency. Raise up watchmen on our walls. Let not the enemy legislate through our leaders. Restore godly counsel to those in authority.
5. To Gain Mastery in Prayer
Lord, teach me to pray with authority and consistency. Let me not be a passive Christian but an active watchman. Give me the grace to stand until darkness retreats.
