Stories abound of many people who are in the midst of SURPLUS supply AND POWER, yet they are suffering hunger and starvation, disease, stagnation, demotion, etc. The ugly situation at the Beautiful Gate is an example of such people! In Acts 3, Peter was going into the temple to pray when he encountered the lame man AT THE BEAUTIFUL GATE. I am wondering how beautiful that gate must have been to be named as such! It was called “BEAUTIFUL” because it was very expensive. It contained the bones of Nicanor the Alexandrian, who made the doors. It’s other name, “Corinthian,” refers to the costly material by which it was constructed—Corinthian bronze. Wow! It was made of CORINTHIAN BRONZE! Not cheap at all, yet this man was at the Beautiful Gate but had no beauty! In fact, he was in front of a temple where God was, yet had no God. HE NEVER SAW THE HAND OF GOD! This is the situation of many. They are in church but have no church in them. They are tired of going to church with their situation, walking daily through the “beautiful gates of life” and sitting at beautiful church halls, yet their situations are ugly.Ah! I speak to you right now: In this year 2024, THERE SHALL BE BEAUTY FOR ASHES! You shall see beauty again! Your beauty which was stolen, shall be restored!
