BASIC SCRIPTURE: 2 KINGS 5: 14-27
Welcome to today’s devotional! Today, I am led to share with you again, top basic rules to safe driving: I am your driving instructor today! LOL! Drive at a safe speed. Don’t drink and drive. Obey the road rules and markings. Concentrate at all times and be always prepared. Be patient and when in doubt, don’t proceed. Plan your moves well in advance (ANTICIPATION). Give correct signals. Be alert particularly at junctions. Never use a mobile phone while driving. Be prepared for unexpected and unsignaled stopping. Give other road iusers correct, adequate and advance notice about your intention. – Fasten your seat belts at all times. Severity of accidents on the roads has been reduced by 50% by seat belts. – Never assume that other road users are observant or skilful. A learner or teenager may be next to you. Drive defensively! Observe the approved speed limits! Truly, worldwide, a government’s cardinal aim is to avert road mishaps. But has it ever occurred to you that many people are already casualties on the road of life? Many have financial, marital, career, emotional, ministry and general life accidents and many are yet to recover! There are hundreds of hurting souls using this devotional who must realize that: Emotional and spiritual accidents are worse than physical accidents. As you journey through life’s destiny pathway, determine by the grace of God that you will arrive at your God-appointed destination in peace and not in pieces. What are your life’s RULES? Always follow the driving rules of life – THE BIBLE! Remember that Gehazi, king Saul and Mark, etc, were life’s casualties.
