TOPIC: TOPIC: 360 YEARS AGO: THIS STORM IS PASSING OVER!

Basic Scripture: Genesis 8: 1-16

An intense and powerful BUT BRIEF storm swept across north-west Europe one summer evening, almost 360 years ago. “BOW ECHOES” are broad, arc- shaped weather fronts which can be tens to hundreds of kilometers long. The pass over an area in a matter of a few hours at most and they are associated with strong and localized gust of mind, called straight-line winds. Oh! Apologies for taking you into a Geography/Weather university class! But one notable point was the storm was very short-lived!

It looks barely 15 minutes! Wow! Yes 15 minutes! Yes, those 15 minutes left the nation with several years of devastation. What if the storm had lasted for longer for hours, days or weeks? The entire Netherland may have been wiped out of planet earth!
