International health experts have recently said that the rate of suicide around the world is rising at an unprecedented rate. The current report says a suicide takes place somewhere around the world every 40 seconds of nearly one million a year! At that time, Lars Meblum, President of the Paris-based International Association for Suicide Prevention (IASP), attributes such self-deaths to the availability of guns and the dwindling world economy! He says, “Few people survive attempts to shoot themselves.” Former communist states, Lithuania, Estonia, Russia, Latvia and Hungary have the highest rates. This can be explained by the social turmoil caused by the transition from staterun economies with job stability to open market systems with no job guarantees! Don’t forget that alcoholism, a common cause of depression that leads to suicide, is very strong in Russia. India is the next, followed by the USA. Compared to the rest of the world, more women commit suicide in China than men. The sad news is that Africa’s suicide rate is also growing rapidly! Determine that in 2026, no matter the matter, you and your family will live and not die! Whether the devil likes it or not, the furnace of life will not consume you! No matter the degree of economic or political paralysis in your nation, God will make a way where there seems to be no way!
