TOPIC: HE HAD THE CAPACITY TO SPEAK AND TO STRIKE! DON’T PANIC! – 1
Welcome to today’s devotional! The Holy Ghost wants you to know that God will never send a man on a mission without equipping and empowering him for it! In other words, before He asks you to do a thing, He already knows that you have the resources to accomplish it. Therefore, no matter the challenges confronting your life, family and ministry, God allows them because He has endowed you with the capacity to conquer them. Moses and the children of Israel got to a place in their wilderness journey and they were confronted with thirst. At the first instance, God told Moses to strike the rock for it to produce water for the people! That was simple enough! On the second occasion, God asked him to speak to the rock. Moses had the capacity as given by God both to strike and to speak to the rock! But on the second occasion, instead of speaking to the rock, he struck the rock again the second time because HE PANICKED DUE TO ANGER! He allowed the people and the circumstances around him to dictate his actions! NEVER TAKE A DECISION WHEN YOU ARE ANGRY! As you journey through this Christian race, don’t allow the challenges confronting your destiny now, to cause you to push the PANIC BUTTON! Corrie ten Boom penned, “There is no panic in Heaven! God has no problems, only plans.” Yes! God is working in the silence; even when things don’t make sense, He is working behind the scenes! Stop the PANIC! Hold on and trust Him!
