TOPIC: GOD IS A BAKER! JUST HOLD ON IN THE ‘OVEN!’
A little boy was telling his grandma how, “everything” was going wrong: School, family problems, severe health problems, etc. Meanwhile, Grandma was baking a cake. She then asked her grandson if he would like a snack, to which, of course, he said, “yes.” “OK! Before the cake, take some cooking oil?” “No” said the boy. “How about a couple of raw eggs?” “That’s terrible, Grandma!” “Would you like some flour then? Or maybe some baking soda?” “Grandma, they all smell bad!” To which Grandma replied, “Yes, all those things seem bad by themselves, but when they are put together in the right way, they make a wonderful delicious cake!” Wow! God works in the same way! Many times, we wonder why He would let us go through such bad and difficult times. God knows that when He puts all these things in His order, they always work together for good! We just have to trust Him and, eventually, they will all make something “wonderful!” Job said in vs. 10 of today’s Scripture, “But He knoweth the way that I take: when He hath tried me, I shall come forth as gold.” He was also saying (paraphrased), “Oh, when He has baked me, I shall come forth as a wonderful cake.” Indeed, I love to describe God sometimes, as a “Baker” and any allowed pain or trial in your life is the baking process of your destiny! No wonder Peter Marshall wrote, “God will not permit any trouble to come upon us unless He has a specific plan by which great blessings can come out of that trial.” That is why, no matter how 2026 has been and in the upcoming 2027, you must NEVER give up now! Just as a gem cannot be polished without friction, so without “organized and supervised trouble,” your SIGNATURE STORY cannot be baked. God is up to something awesome in your life! Hold on!
