Be reminded that during the Lent period of 1932, the great, late African Evangelist and church founder/Revivalist of present day Christ Apostolic Church, Apostle Joseph Ayo Babalola, was imprisoned unjustly for six months by the then colonial government. Yes, two diabolical women in Otuo (presently in Edo State of Nigeria), falsely accused him of forcing them to drink a poisonous local herb used in detecting witchcraft possession which the government had banned! Despite the strong denial by the great prophet with collaborating witnesses that he had never met any of the two women, he was sent to Benin City prison for six months! Amazing! Truly, all things work together for good (Romans 8:28)! So, while in prison, the God that can turn a thorn into a throne began to manifest! In prison, he met a man from Creek Town in Calabar, Nigeria, named Mr. Cyprian. E. Ufon who was healed instantly after Babalola prayed for him! After their release from prison, their divinely planned meeting ultimately led to the explosion of missionary work to the eastern part of Nigeria! Is it not a mystery to the carnal man that God sent Moses to “professor” Jethro as a student for 40 years in the “University of Affliction” based in Midian? Surely, your brain cannot explain why a “king in waiting”- Joseph – should pass through the pit and the prison to the palace! Why should Paul and Silas be put into prison unjustly to enable the gospel spread into Macedonia (Europe) through the Macedonian jailer? Heaven wants you to know that the strength of a man consists in finding out the way God is going and going that way! Every pathway of crisis allowed into your life is for a specific reason which you will discover later! One of the greatest motivators of her time was Helen Keller. She was deaf and blind! Please allow God to turn any setback or past adversity for your good. The allowed pain is a “prophet” that will announce your life and ministry. Hold on!
