Jordan, one of the greatest basketball players of all time, once said “I have missed more than 9,000 shots in my career, I have lost almost 300 games. On 26 occasions, I have been entrusted to take the game-winning shot, and I missed. I have failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed.” Read that again, “And that is why I succeed.” That last phrase is like “fire in my bones.” How can a man of like passions like yourself say he succeeded through his failures, his mess, frustrations, delays, shame, errors, disappointments and embarrassments? But as 2025 ends and 2026 begins, that must be your anthem! Refuse to let failure write their final chapter! For some people, their failures become their tombstones! They close their lives with the phrase, “and that’s why I gave up.” Oh no! No! No! God did not ask me to quit PHARMACY ( a career I love so much and practised for 12 years after my University pharmacy school) for you to fail! NO! NO! NO! For those who believe, failure is not the end, it is the rehearsal. Open your mouth now and declare 9 times – “Satan, you came too late! I am not a quitter! FAILURE IS JUST A REHEARSAL for my awesome tomorrow.” David was rejected by his own family, chased by a jealous king, and hid in caves like a criminal. But none of that stopped him. Instead, he said in Psalm 27:3, “Though an army besiege me, my heart will not fear; though war break out against me, even then I will be confident.” He didn’t say, “That’s why I quit.” He said, “That’s why I stand.” Let that be your story also! Every missed shot in your life, every failed job, relationship, or failed attempt must be for the training of your spiritual aim. No matter how 2025 has been, it is time to rise again. No wonder Ferdinand quipped, “Failure is not your enemy, but quitting is.” I see a crowd carrying a BANNER with your name written boldly above the words: “CONGRATULATIONS DANCER.” Hold on and hold out!
