BASIC SCRIPTURE: PSALM 27: 1-6

Basic Scripture: Psalm 27:1-6 (NKJV)

1 The Lord is my light and my salvation; Whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life; Of whom shall I be afraid?
2 When the wicked came against me To eat up my flesh, My enemies and foes, They stumbled and fell.
3 Though an army may encamp against me, My heart shall not fear; Though war may rise against me, In this I will be confident.
4 One thing I have desired of the Lord, That will I seek: That I may dwell in the house of the Lord All the days of my life, To behold the beauty of the Lord, And to inquire in His temple.
5 For in the time of trouble He shall hide me in His pavilion; In the secret place of His tabernacle He shall hide me; He shall set me high upon a rock.
6 And now my head shall be lifted up above my enemies all around me; Therefore I will offer sacrifices of joy in His tabernacle; I will sing, yes, I will sing praises to the Lord.

Prayer Points:

1. Prayer of Declaration and Fearlessness:

   • Lord, You are my light—I reject every spirit of darkness and confusion over my life and destiny. Illuminate my path, especially as I approach the new year.

   • You are my salvation—I declare that no person, power, or situation can pluck me from Your hand. My eternal and temporal safety is secured in You.

   • You are the strength of my life—I draw on Your power now. Every weakness, fatigue, or anxiety is overcome by Your might. Therefore, I shall not fear. I break the power of every spirit of fear assigned against me.

2. Prayer for Divine Protection in Trouble:

   • Heavenly Father, as enemies (seen and unseen) rise, I claim Your promise to hide me in Your pavilion and secret place. Be my shelter and my fortress. Set my feet upon the Rock, Christ Jesus, where I cannot be shaken.

   • I decree that every weapon formed against me shall stumble and fall (v. 2). Though challenges may encamp around me, my heart will remain confident in You.

3. Prayer for the “One Thing” Desire:

   • Above all successes, provisions, or breakthroughs, instill in me the “one thing” desire of David: to dwell in Your presence all the days of my life. Create in me a hunger to behold Your beauty and to seek Your face in prayer and worship.

   • As this year ends, reorient my heart’s deepest desire toward intimacy with You. Let my primary pursuit in the coming year be to know You more.

4. Prayer of Victory and Sacrificial Joy:

   • I thank You that my head is lifted up above my enemies. I receive a posture of victory, honor, and dignity. No more shame, no more bowing down to oppression.

   • By faith, I offer You sacrifices of joy right now. I choose to sing praises even before the battle is fully over, for my trust is in Your deliverance.

1. I DECLARE: The Lord is MY light, MY salvation, and the strength of MY life. Therefore, I HAVE NO FEAR. My heart is steadfast, trusting in Him.

2. I DECLARE: When wickedness, opposition, or trouble comes near me, it will stumble and fall. The Lord Himself is my defense. Though an army encamp, I WILL NOT FEAR; I WILL BE CONFIDENT.

3. I DECLARE: My supreme desire is to dwell in the presence of the Lord, to behold His beauty, and to seek His face continually. This is the priority of my life.

4. I DECLARE: In times of trouble, God Himself hides me in His secret place. He sets my feet upon the Rock. I am secure, protected, and inaccessible to the enemy’s full assault.

5. I DECLARE: My head is lifted up with honor and victory. I am above and not beneath. I am the head and not the tail. Therefore, I will offer joyful praise to my God. My mouth is filled with songs of thanksgiving and victory.

6. I DECLARE as I stand on the final day of this year: I enter the new year with fearless confidence, secure in God’s presence, protected by His power, and overflowing with sacrificial joy.
