“ABBA, IT IS IN YOU THAT I FIND MERCY. PLEASE EL-ROI, SHOW ME MERCY.”
Commentary
Our labour cannot save us. You have worked hard. You have given your best. You have sacrificed, strived, and struggled. But your labour cannot save you. It cannot heal you. It cannot deliver you. Your labour is not enough.
Our qualifications do not qualify. You have the degrees, the certifications, the experience. But your qualifications do not qualify you. They do not guarantee favour. They do not ensure breakthrough. They are not enough.
Our best connections sometimes fail. You know the right people. You have the right networks. You have the right connections. But sometimes, even the best connections fail. People cannot always help. People cannot always deliver. People are not enough.
Oh Lord, EL-ROI, You never ever fail. Unlike our labour, Your power never fails. Unlike our qualifications, Your grace never fails. Unlike our connections, Your love never fails. You are the one who never fails. You are the one who always delivers. You are the one who is always enough.
It is only in You that we find mercy. Mercy is not found in hard work. It is not found in education. It is not found in networking. It is found in God. Only in Him. He is the source. He is the supplier. He is the giver of mercy.
Abba, show us mercy. Abba – the intimate cry of a child to a Father. Not a distant God. Not a harsh judge. A Father. A loving, compassionate, merciful Father. Show us mercy.
When everything else fails, mercy never fails. Labour fails. Qualifications fail. Connections fail. But mercy never fails. It never runs out. It never gives up. It never comes too late. Mercy is the one thing you can always count on.
The anchor scripture is Hosea 14:3 – the cry of a repentant people: “Asshur shall not save us; we will not ride upon horses: neither will we say any more to the work of our hands, Ye are our gods: for in thee the fatherless findeth mercy.” Assyria was a superpower. Horses were the military strength of the day. The work of their hands was their idol. But they renounced all of it. They said: these things cannot save us. Only You can save us. In You, the fatherless find mercy.
The eight mercies for today cover every dimension:
- Mercy for Manifestation – What has been hidden is appearing. Your healing, your breakthrough, your marriage, your job – manifestation.
- Mercy for Transition – Grace to move from one level to the next. No more being stuck.
- Mercy for Forgiveness – Your sins are washed away. Your guilt is removed. You are clean.
- Mercy for Great Help – Divine assistance in your time of need. Help that is more than enough.
- Mercy for Wonders – Supernatural interventions and miracles. Wonders that leave you speechless.
- Mercy that Wipes Bitter Tears – Comfort for every pain, every loss, every disappointment.
- Mercy that Provokes Turnarounds – Complete reversal. What is going down is now going up.
- Mercy that Opens Heavens – Unrestricted access to divine blessings. The heavens are open over you.
Declare with desperation and confidence: “ABBA, IT IS IN YOU THAT I FIND MERCY. PLEASE EL-ROI, SHOW ME MERCY.”
