Thanksgiving is the attitude of a productive life. If you are not thankful for what you have, you are not likely to be thankful for what you are going to get. The average human being complains virtually about everything. Stop seeing the losses, the pain, etc, and start seeing God’s ‘little’ mercies. For every problem, there is a blessing attached to it. For every bad person, there are also good people! Learn to thank people that have been a blessing to your life, family and ministry this year! Write a ‘thank you’ note to someone today! Catch these three enemies of personal peace: 1. Regret over yesterday’s mistakes 2. Ingratitude for today’s blessings and 3. Anxiety over tomorrow’s problems! Remember that the words ‘think’ and ‘thank’ come from the same Latin root. If you take time to think more, you will thank more! Verse 12 of today’s scripture says, “Rejoicing in hope, patient in tribulation…” Rejoice Even While Waiting/Hoping For Your Testimony! Don’t allow the devil to see you cry/get depressed! Eric Hoffer said: “The hardest arithmetic to master is that which enables us to count our blessings!” Determine to count your blessings weekly, no matter the matter! Have you really thought about the fact that the most valuable and important things of life, e.g. air, time, or life are free? God gave you a gift of 86,400 seconds today! Have you used one to say, “thank you” to Him? For each new day, praise the bridge that carried you over! Spend a second now to say, “THANK YOU” and be determined to hold on/hold out!
