Let’s start today’s devotional with the golden words of Maxwell Maltz: “What is opportunity, and when does it knock? It never knocks. You can wait a whole lifetime, listening, hoping, and you will hear no knocking. None at all.

You are opportunity, and you must knock on the door leading to your destiny. You prepare yourself to recognize opportunity, to pursue and seize opportunity as you develop the strength of your personality, and build a self-image with which you are able to live with your self-respect alive and growing.” The Holy Ghost is saying: Prepare for the DOOR of the next opportunity which He is about to OPEN.
Preparation is one very important determinant of success. If you are not well prepared and a divine door of opportunity shows up, you will not be able to recognize and seize that opportunity. Former American President, Harry Truman, said, “Progress occurs when courageous, skilful leaders seize the opportunrty to change things for the better.” The lame man at the Beautiful gate received his miracle because of his strong spirit of expectation.

The Bible says that he looked at Peter and John, “expecting to receive something from them.” EXPECTATION! The big question is this: What do you do when you can’t do anything and you are in your ZERO HOUR? What do you do when time is running out and you are under so much pressure to give up? What do you do when YOUR BATTLES CHOOSE YOU?

There is only one thing to do: HANG ON AGAINST ALL ODDS! STAY EXPECTANT! DON’T LET GO! Remember the saying: tough times never last, but tough people do! Sometimes, everyone who doubts you will tell you, you will fail. But try twice as hard to prove them wrong! Never quit! Never!
