TOPIC: THE BEST IS AHEAD! BE EXPECTANT!
BASIC SCRIPTURES: MATTHEW 16:15 – 19
15 He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am?
16 And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.
17 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.
18 And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.
19 And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.

31 And the Lord said, Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat:
32 But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren.

The key to great achievement is great expectation! Charles ” Kettering puts it this way: “High achievement always takes place in the framework of high expectation. Whether you believe it or not, you will always rise or fall to the level of your expectation. Also, people will always rise or fall to the level of their expectations. If you expect the worst, you will almost always get the worst. Your expectation is revealed in your attitude opportunities as well as your attitude to challenges. If you expect the best always, you will always look out for the best in every situation. If someone comes to you with bad news, you will look at it carefully and pick out the good news in that bad news. Your expectation of people is also revealed by how you speak with them and how you speak about them. It was the great expectation that God had towards us that caused Him to give up His only begotten Son to die for our sins. Look at what Jesus did for Peter. He had great expectations of him and He backed it up with corresponding actions. He changed his name from Simon to Peter! Again. He interceded for Peter that he would not lose focus or fail Peter lived up to that expectation! After the death, resurrection and ascension of Jesus, he became the leader of the apostles and helped to strengthen all of them and to achieve their purpose in God. The unstable Peter who was so scared to identify with Jesus to the extent of denying Him three times was bold to stand up and preach about Jesus to three thousand people. Wow! That was expectation! As 2021 ends, I want to challenge you to always remember that: YOUR BEST DAYS ARE AHEAD! God has great expectations/plans for you and your tomorrow will surprise your detractors in Jesus name!
