Your living right/ holiness with God, your forgiving others, your helping the needy, your faithfulness in tithes, sacrificial offerings or firstfruit blessings, etc, goes beyond you! For example, your 14-day or 21-day fasting results and blessings goes beyond you! Your serving God goes beyond you! Some blessings are paid back to your children, just as some curses are traced back to the fourth generation! What did the children/grandchildren of Gehazi do to merit the curse of leprosy? It was their father’s sins! It was a foundational problem! Before they were even born, they were cursed! Oh! The mysteries of God! What did the children of Jehu do to inherit the blessing of royalty: RULING OVER OTHERS? Nothing! Nothing! Nothing! It was what their father did! Don’t put your children/generation in trouble because of your lifestyle today! Learn and watch your ways today and this year!
