TOPIC: RUTH: FROM REJECTION TO REJOICING! REPROACH IS NOT MY NAME – 1
Welcome to today’s devotional hour with THE SIGNATURE HEADQUARTERS OF JEHOVAH GOD! Boaz had every reason to reject Ruth. She was a Moabite – an outsider. She was a widow, and she was childless which was seen as a curse in that culture. In fact, she came with Naomi, a depressed, childless motherin-law. By every standard of that day, Ruth was “too old” for a new beginning and “too broken” for a love story. But Boaz looked past the labels, past the scars, past the public opinion, and saw the woman God had already marked for redemption. And from that, “rejected” Ruth came Obed, Jesse and David and eventually, Jesus Christ Himself. That was her REJOICING SEASON! Catch this: no REJECTION SEASON is your last bus-stop! The next bus-stop is REJOICING BUS-STOP – if you don’t quit! Isaiah 54:4 declares, “Fear not; for thou shalt not be ashamed: neither be thou confounded; for thou shalt not be put to shame: for thou shalt forget the shame of thy youth, and shalt not remember the reproach of thy widowhood anymore.” Oh, you are the BRIDE of Christ! He is your BRIDEGROOM – your husband! WIDOWHOOD was the season before you married Christ! It was the season when the devil was your father – before you got BORN AGAIN! I prophesy: You shall not remember the REPROACH of thy widowhood! REPROACH and REJECTION can never be the last chapter of the book of your life! Pray seriously now!
