TOPIC: THEY WALKED ON THE MOON BUT…
Very often in my quiet moments, I ask myself: “How many of the 12 men that have walked on the Moon so far will WALK ON PLANET HEAVEN?” Oh! It’s great to be so brave to go to the moon! It’s marvellous to see the moon and even float to defy GRAVITY! It’s great to help science and make humanity to understand this universe! But how many of the MOON WALKERS will be HEAVEN WALKERS? Of the 12 men that have walked on the moon so far, only 4 are still alive! Those alive are Aldrin (Apollo 11), David Scott (Apollo 15), Charles Duke (Apollo 16), and Harrison Schmitt (Apollo 17). So it’s crucial to always ask yourself: “I have walked on planet earth (EARTH WALKER) and I have travelled to places on this planet earth, but will I be a HEAVEN WALKER?” It’s not enough to walk in New York, Cape Town, Singapore, London, Abuja, etc, and miss heaven! It’s not enough to walk in the most beautiful cities of Africa, Asia, South America, North America, Australia, etc, and yet MISS HEAVEN! Today’s scriptures are pointers to that place called heaven! What does it profit you to be a “MOON WALKER,” or AN “EARTH WALKER,” etc, and never set your foot in the celestial city called HEAVEN? Hear C.S. Lewis: “Aim at Heaven and you will get earth ‘thrown in: aim at earth and you will get neither.” I also love the pen of late Billy Graham: “The moment we take our last breath on earth, we take our first in heaven.” Close with Richard Baxter: ”Heaven will pay for any loss we may suffer to gain it; but nothing can pay for the loss of heaven.” In all your misses, don’t miss heaven!
