I am led again to start today’s devotional with this story: Years ago, an 18-year-old student narrated the following: “Dad caught mummy in a hotel, where he went to relax with friends. Dad was mad and shattered.
He has not recovered from the shock. He had to confide in me, as he turned to me one day and said, “Junior, I will never get married again because, women are wicked.” Imagine a man in his late forties coming to his son for consolation.
The Holy Ghost is speaking to someone today about marital connection and warning against marital unfaithfulness! Our key verses are 4 and 5 of today’s 1st Basic Scripture (Read it again).
Marital unfaithfulness is growing in leaps and bounds daily in the society. Despite the promised marital vows to remain faithful to their spouses, some men and women still prefer having extramarital affairs.
This is SIN! Don’t fall into this trap.The marriage bed should not be defiled! In my early upbringing and tradition, it was a taboo for a woman to leave the home and stay or sleep outside without the husband’s consent. It was considered adulterous!
Men too, are guilty of this. Whichever way it comes, both are wrong. You promised that for better for worse, you would be in it. So be a stickler! An unbeliever once told me that he could have extramarital affairs because after all, there was only virgin Mary and not virgin Joseph: moreover he said it has never been on record, where a woman kept two men under the same roof with her husband. Isn’t that silly and funny?
Being unfaithful for whatever reason is SIN! The syndrome of “For better to stay, for worse to leave” must be broken. As you remain faithful, your portion shall be for better for best. Faithfulness to your spouse or even fiancée is important.
I decree marital connection today and I see 2,390 being connected and married in this year 2023! Tell the devil that you will be faithful to God and to your conscience.Think of the consequences of extramarital affairs on your children and good name!
Think about the woman caught in the hotel by her husband! Ah! A good name is an asset and treasure, which money cannot buy. KEEP IT!

- I disconnect and break any soul tie between me and any body who is not my spouse in Jesus name. Pray about today now!
