Vs. 11-12 of today’s Word says: “And they said unto Moses, ‘Because there were no graves in Egypt, hast thou taken us away to die in the wilderness? Wherefore hast thou dealt thus with us, to carry us forth out of Egypt? Is not this the word that we did tell thee in Egypt, saying, ‘Let us alone, that we may serve the Egyptians? For it had been better for us to serve the Egyptians, than that we should die in the wilderness.” Also, an ODM user mailed me thus: “I can never attend church again. I think God is partial; if not, why should He favour some and allow some to suffer in delay? Maybe I should end this life. Everyday, it’s one ill-luck or the other. I keep the commandments; I am decent and still God hates me. Pastor, I am searching for the devil to serve because God has disappointed me” (Phone number withheld). Graves in Egypt? Searching for the devil to serve? The Holy Ghost is saying to a user of today’s devotional: “At your Red Sea, Egypt is not an option.” Always say to yourself in 2025: “Even if God does not answer one more prayer in my life, Satan, you are not an option.” Wow! Job said: “Though He slay me, yet will I trust Him” (Job 13:15). Even as David was in the lonely caves and rocks hiding from Saul and he had all the reasons in the world to accuse God of delaying or not keeping His word to make him king, he declared boldly in Psalm 57: 7: “My heart is fixed, O God, my heart is fixed: I will sing and give praise.” The word: “MY HEART IS FIXED” can also be interpreted: “MY HEART IS PREPARED.” He was telling God: “I am prepared to go all the way with You, miracle or no miracle!” No wonder Psalm 112: 7 says: “He (the achiever) shall not be afraid of evil tidings: his heart is fixed, trusting in the LORD.” Listen: The graves in Egypt might look well decorated, but they end in a burning hell! The graves in Egypt may look well planned in a legal cemetery but they end in a celestial vanity! I will rather die in the wilderness of my God than in the palace of my enemy!
