TOPIC: THE CAVE IS NOT YOUR GRAVE – IT IS YOUR CRADLE! – 1
It was Eddie Young who quipped, “God hides tomorrow’s kings in yesterday’s caves!” No wonder Habakkuk 2:3 echoes, “For the vision is yet for an appointed time…” David was already anointed king in the midst of his brothers. Oil had been poured! Prophet Samuel had spoken! Destiny had been stamped! Yet the next place heaven sent him was not to the palace, NO! Instead, it was to THE CAVE OF ADULLAM! Rejected by Saul! Hunted like an animal! Forgotten by Israel! Surrounded by 400 broke, bitter, indebted, distressed men – the rejects of society! But while men saw a fugitive, God saw a FURNACE! While men saw shame, God saw SHAPING! While men saw the end, God saw the BEGINNING OF AN EMPIRE! David was already anointed, yet heaven slammed the palace door and shoved him into Adullam with 400 broken, bankrupt, bitter rejects, because kings are not cooked in comfort, they are forged in caves! While you are crying, “Why me?” God is busy burning pride off your bones, killing small thinking in your mind, and turning your tears into the glue that will hold an empire together! Men see the end; God sees a coronation loading! 2 Corinthians 4:17-18 tells us, “For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. You will bow when my cave season ends! My coronation is
loading NOW by thunder in Jesus name!
