GBILE AKANNI SHOCKS PEOPLE AT DUNAMIS GLORY DOME WITH HIS SCARY TESTIMONY

GBILE AKANNI SHOCKS PEOPLE AT DUNAMIS GLORY DOME WITH HIS SCARY TESTIMONY

The Word of God
The Word of God

Someday, I received one dangerous letter. Oh my God, that letter almost finished my life. Perhaps you would not have met me.

What was it?

I got a letter from Ibadan. And this brother wrote, “Brother Gbile, what are you doing in Benue State?”

Then I also said, “What am I doing in Benue State?” You know, terrible question. What am I doing here?

I looked everywhere. I have traveled everywhere. I have traveled to all the villages, all the villages of Tiv land, all the villages of Idoma land, all the villages of Igala land, because that time Igala was part of Benue.

I’m going from one end to another, and in those days it looked as if I’m just wasting away. And this brother said, “What are you doing there? Something is already happening with us in Ibadan. You better come back.”

Then I took the letter. I said, “God, what am I doing here?”

And the Holy Spirit said, “Why are you asking Me such a question? I bought you with a price. Whether you live or you die, you are My own. Whether anything happens through you or nothing happens through you, what’s your business about that?”

Ah! I said, “But God, I need to show something, that I’m also doing something.”

The Lord said, “Show? What do you want to use My work for? Show? Be careful.”

I was still arguing with God. I said, “There is no doubt, there is this Bible study.” And you know, by that time we had started a Bible study. It met every Tuesday, and the people in the town, they were running there. Every 5:00, they were running.

It was still a study, it looked like something. I said, “Except this Bible study that I’m doing.”

The Lord said, “You point your finger at My work? You will see. I will show you that I use you not for your pleasure. I use you only for My glory. And if you touch My glory, you are finished.”

I said, “God, but what do You want me to do now?”

God said, “Okay, I will show you.”

So that day, it happened to be a Tuesday. I was preparing for the study. I was praying when this matter happened. And God said, “Today, for you to know that it’s not your work and you cannot touch it, nobody will come for your Bible study today. Nobody will listen to you.”

I thought it was a joke.

I went for the Bible study. Usually, people would have come. They would have swept the floor. They would have arranged everything.

Nobody came.

I swept. I dusted the benches. I printed the study outline.

Nobody came.

5:30, nobody came.

Quarter to 6, nobody came.

It dawned on me that I’m in trouble today.

I said, “Father, does it mean my own is finished?”

He said, “I just want you to know that nobody can touch My work and survive.”

When it was 10 minutes to 6, nobody had come.

Then the Lord said, “For you to know, ten people will come for this meeting today. Out of the crowd that used to come before, only ten will come. And when they come, I’m not using you to speak to them.”

And just like that, by 6:00, ten people had arrived, as if they planned it. They did not apologize. They did not say, “Sorry we came late.” No, they didn’t know the drama I was going through that night.

When they all sat down, they were waiting for me to start the meeting.

If I tried to start, the presence of God departed.

When I sat and said, “Brother, please can you lead us in worship?” the presence of God came back.

When the presence of God began to come again, I thought that it was time to take over. As I took over, the Lord departed again.

I tried it four times.

I had to tell the brethren, I said, “Brethren, I have to tell you something today.”

They said, “What?”

I said, “The Lord does not plan to use me today. Let anybody that has something to say, please say it so that we can pray and go.”

They did.

Again, it bothered me that they did not pray for me. I was surprised that they did not even say, “Brother, let’s just pray for you.”

No, they left. They left me there.

Oh, my trouble started.

I said, “God, so what has happened?”

He said, “That’s what has happened.”

He said, “Your past will be your climax, and you will spend the rest of your years defending your past.”

Ah! I said, “God, what is the past that I will be spending the rest of my years to defend? Oh God, have mercy on me.”

How I cried.

I went back home.

The Lord said, “For you to know what I’m telling you, that Bible study will not hold again.”

Ah, my God, my God.

I’m praying for you. I’m praying that God will set you apart for His glory and that you will live for His glory.

There is great work God will do through us if you don’t touch the glory. There is a mighty work waiting for several of you if you do not tamper with the glory of God.

I’m going to end and pray with you on that note tonight.

Do you know that the whole thing finished?

I was still going. Nobody came.

One day, I went and I sat there. Nobody came. And one other church was meeting in another segment.

God said, “You better stand up. Go and join that church. Let them pray for you.”

Ah! When I got there, they said, “End-of-the-month anointing.” The man brought oil.

You know I would never have put myself for anybody to put oil on my head.

The man said, “Anointing for end of the month. All of you, come up.”

God said, “You better stand up. Go and line up there.”

I said, “God, why are You dealing with me like this?”

He said, “For you to know that no man can touch My work.”

The thing finished.

I went back to my house. Nobody came again. I’m telling you. And they did not explain to me why they were not coming.

I would meet them. I would greet them. They would not say, “Oh, we couldn’t come for Bible study yesterday.”

No. They didn’t come again.

So I went back to my room. I started my prayer again.

“Lord, have mercy on me.”

Then I resolved. I resolved.

I told God, “I will live for Your glory. Whether anything happens or nothing, it will never be mine. My own is for You to be glorified at my expense.

If it is Your glory that I should remain small, that’s okay. If it is Your glory that I should just be ordinary, that’s all right. Lord, let Your will be done.”

I found Jesus living for nothing else. He did nothing for Himself. He did nothing for His personal glory or pleasure. He did all for the Father to be glorified.

If you are going to answer the call to mission that I’m going to show you tonight, you must be that one that says, “Lord, even if it is to one soul You are sending me, I will go. If that is Your choice, Lord, if it is to one village that You want me to locate with all my intellect, if it is Your glory, Lord, I will go.

Lord, I will not go to where it is only my pleasure to go. I will not go only to the places where I think my ego will be achieved. I want to live for Your glory.”

Jesus did all things for glory.

Even when He wanted to raise Lazarus, He said, “Father, I know You hear Me always, but that these people may know that it is You at work in Me.”

What a man our Lord Jesus was, who lived only to glorify the Father, who did all for the glory of God.

So it became clear to me: whether I live or die, Paul, you will not know.

I traveled as far as I was going to Achama, and I got stranded somewhere. I was standing there on my way up to Apoga. I was standing there. The road was lonely.

And that strange question came, saying, “Is this how you are going to waste away?”

But now I had overcome that.

I said, “If it pleases the Lord to waste me here, it’s all right.”

Then I heard a voice saying, “And you will not be wasted. Your life will not be wasted. I am not a waster. Any life given to Me for My glory, I don’t waste it.”

I said, “Okay, Lord, even if You waste it, it’s all right.”

After all, if I paid and I bought a shoe, and I decided not to wear that shoe for two years, what is the problem? Baba, what’s the problem? Nothing.

Can the person I bought the shoe from come and say, “The shoe I sold to you, I have been looking at your leg. You are not wearing it”?

What am I going to say to him?

“Eh, what’s your business? What if I bought it only to keep it, to be gathering dust? What’s your business?”

I came to that point.

I said, “Lord, even if I die, let me die, if it is only for Your glory.”

All those who became vessels in the hand of God, who took the work of God to the frontiers, they took a decision:

“If I perish, I perish. If something comes out of my life, fine. If nothing comes out of it, it’s okay. Okay, Lord.”

When you come to that point, God makes sure that something comes out. But let me now tell you, not for you, but for Himself. Not for me, but for Himself.

Hallelujah.

So when I go here, I go there, and things are happening, and people say, “Gbile is here. Uncle B is here,” it’s clear in my head: not for me. Not about me. It’s not for me. It’s not for my pleasure. It’s for Him.

I stop here tonight.

Lazarus rose up, but not for him. It was for the glory.

Do you know that when Lazarus stood up, he had already died? He had no hope of living again. So this life that God gave him was not for Lazarus.

So people were looking for Lazarus in order to see Jesus.

All the miracles that will come in your life, it shall be for His glory.

All the breakthroughs that God will bring to your life, it must be for His glory.

All the men that will gather around your life, it must be for His glory.

It must not be for your personal glory.

But if God has achieved His glory in your life, oh my God, you will step on carpets. God will lavish Himself on you because He knows you are dead to personal pleasure, dead to personal achievement.

You are dead. You are only alive to see His glory.

How many of you tonight will say, “Father, take my life, not for what I can gain, but for Your glory. Lord, take me anywhere You want. Not as it is convenient for me, but as it pleases You, as it achieves Your glory, as it makes me the man You want me to be.

Lord, Lord, Lord, be Thou glorified, O God, at my expense. Let Your glory, let Your glory, let Your glory come. Let men touch Your glory as they touch my life.”

Would you like to join me to pray?

Will you?

Let me tell you something: even if you don’t, I will go on praying my prayer. I have seen that that’s the way forward. I’ve seen that that’s what God wants to do.

But I want to assure you, there is no life so given to God that will be a waste. There is no life so released to God and to God’s glory that will be a waste.

You’re the one thinking, “If I throw my life now, will anything come out of it?”

Why not?

And even if nothing comes out of it and God is happy to be glorified, what does that mean?

I will be here this night, and I’ll be standing, waiting for young men, young women that are saying:

“Lord, Lord, take my life for Your glory. Use it for Your glory. Glorify Yourself at my expense. Even if it is not convenient, have Your way with my life.”

This night is a very critical night.

Men that will take the name of God, that will take the name of Jesus everywhere, are those that have died to themselves. They have died to pleasure. They are no longer looking for themselves. They are not looking for cheap popularity.

They are saying, “Lord, Lord, only for You. Only for Your glory I lay my life.”

Where are you? Where are you? Where are you?

Stand up and come, and say, “Lord, this life for Your glory. This life only for Your glory. I have lived for pleasure too long. I have stayed where it is convenient.

Lord, send me anywhere, Lord. Send me anywhere, Lord. Use me anyhow. Do whatever You want to do with my life, but let the glory be Yours.”

Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.

Please come on. Come on.

If the Spirit of God is moving you, come quickly. Our time is already up, but tonight is a night when God must take the glory.

Thank you. Thank you. God bless you. Thank you, my brother. Thank you, that sister. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.

Find a space. Thank you. Thank you.

Move that thing backward. Give space to the young men that must come. Those that must turn their lives to His hand. Those that must say, “Lord, have Your way. Have Your way with me, O God. Do whatever You want to do with me, but let my life count for Your glory.”

God bless you. God bless you. God bless you.

Tonight, men that will shake their nations, men that will shake their generation, they are no more looking for their own personal choice.

Lord, have Your way. Lord, have Your way.

Are you coming here? Do quickly. Do quickly. Do quickly. Do quickly.

Hallelujah. Hallelujah.

Thank You, Lord. Thank You, Lord. Thank You, Lord Jesus. Thank You, Lord Jesus. Thank You, Lord Jesus.

Are you coming here? Do quickly.

The Spirit of God is touching you and saying, “What are you reserving your life for now? What pleasure do you want? What do you want? Do you know it’s a privilege for God to take His glory?

Lord, have Your way with me.”

Thank you, dear brother. Dear sister, come down quickly.

That young man, get a place to kneel down. Just get a place and say, “Lord, I lay it down.”

That young lady, run. Run and say, “Lord, I lay it down. I lay it down.”

My brother, run. Say, “Lord, I lay it down. I lay it down. I will live only for Your glory.”

Friend, are you coming? Please move fast.

Thank You, Lord Jesus. Thank You, Lord Jesus. Thank You, Lord Jesus.

Tonight, Lord. Tonight, Lord. You are recruiting another generation, another generation of men and women who are there to serve, who are no longer looking for small comfort.

Thank you, my sister. Just find a space. Just find a space and get on your knees.

Blessed be Your name.

“How is my life on You, Lord?”

What a good song you are singing.

You want to lie before the Lord and say today, “Only for You, Lord. Only for You, Lord. Only for You, Lord.”

God bless you. God bless you.

I will ask our brother, please come, sir. You are the one to lead us to pray this prayer tonight.

Let me ask our pastor, Pastor Enenche, to lead us in prayer.

They took this kind of decision many years ago. They poured their lives out. It was looking like a waste. It was looking as if nothing would come out of it.

But this is what God has done.

God bless you, sir. Go ahead.

We’re going to take that song three more times:

“I’ll waste my life again and again on You.
On You.
There is profit in being wasted, Lord.
On You.
On You.
What a good way to be wasted,
For You and on You.”

On the Lord. On You.

I waste my life.
